The grounds are divided into two sections—east of West Mountain Road, you’ll find gorgeous views of Cascade Lake, while west of the road your site will be on a hillside above the lake, with only a handful of lakeview sites. Gravel roads and no electricity give it a rustic feel, so embrace the vibe and go forage for an afternoon snack in the fields of wild huckleberry and thimbleberry bushes! You can also fish for salmon, bike the trails, or head into nearby Cascade for homemade pies at Route 55 Cafe, or a top-notch fireworks show on the Fourth of July. Water is available only until September 15, so if you visit in the off-season just be sure to bring the means to filter your own from the plentiful natural resources.
