This site was workable. The onsite bathroom was GREAT for camping, and so nice not to share. I loved the trees (even the random falling pinecones), the shade was great, and there was a lot of great deadwood around if I had needed it for my camp fire.
However, a few things made it so I will not return.
1) There is no privacy at this site. You are literally overlooking someone's backyard and are across the street from another large home where you are in full view. The site pictures did not make this clear.
2) Because it's in a neighborhood, there are normal neighborhood things happening like a leaf blower, a guy working on his deck, a really loud rooster, etc. I camp for peace, and this site didn't really have that except late in the evenings when people went to bed.
3) The site is not level. There are small portions that are close, but not enough to set up a tent. Luckily I could level my pop-up trailer, but without that, I'd have been very frustrated. As it was, I was still limited on placement options due to the slope.
One more less important thing was the site had a water barrel next to the bathroom for hand washing, but it was almost empty. I always bring my own water so I was fine, but not having that was also an annoyance.
As an FYI for others, there were a decent number of mosquitos (normal for the region). Citronella and deet made a HUGE difference. Also, if you're tall, watch your head in the bathroom. I'm 5' 9" and hit my head.

Tricky review for me, the positive is so positive, but there is some negative too. We absolutely loved the lake access⌠the little hike to get there added to the magic. We felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves on weekdays and that was absolutely worth the smaller negatives for us. The other positives: safe neighborhood, clean bathroom, great fire pit, well leveled tent sites, helpful communication from âhostâ. The negative is probably more accurately labled surprises. We were surprised that the driveway access was quite steep. Fine for adult drivers in an suv, not as fine for my teenager in a car. We were a bit surprised to be in a neighborhood with an actual next door neighbor in a house. It wasnât a problem, just not what I pictured before arriving. We were also surprised by the neighbors roosters before 5 am. Honestly, I really liked the spot, and the beautiful cove on the lake and mini-hike access was worth any negative. We will definitely come back (with earplugs).

This is a nice spot! We were able to fit two big tents and a table as well. The outhouse is better than most. The best thing about this spot is the beach. Itâs a beautiful walk, and short enough that we could carry our 1.5 year old and our 4 year old could walk. Super fun weekend trip, we would do it again!
