My husband and I both enjoyed our stay at site 2! The host was friendly and the campground was overall clean. There was a beautiful view of the river that provided a great place to see sunrise and sunset. The river was accessible, but by a hill so I would keep that in mind if you have difficulty with steep inclines. Clear, cool and clean waters! Little to no light pollution allowing for an incredible view of the stars at night. It is by a county road so there was some road noise but not frequent. We will definitely be back in the future!

Wow! Loved the drive to sites. So easy to locate your site and the views are incredible! I specifically booked for the stars and it did NOT DISAPPOINT! Felt like we were under the milky way! Plan to come back to stay at all the different sites and bring a crew too!

Tentrr - Canvas Glamping Tent - 5A
My wife and I love camping and have acquired ALL of the gear over the years to ensure all of our needs are met. We can set up our tent/site quickly and efficiently; however, this was our first time “glamping”, and what a nice change it was to have everything set up for you upon arrival (and sleeping on an actual queen size mattress wasn’t bad either! lol). All we had to do was bring ourselves and our food, they even provide a propane camp-stove! We stayed in ‘5A’ and the view from our front porch was nothing but woods, it felt like we were the only people there, but indoor plumbing and a hot shower were just around the corner. You couldn’t ask for a better location to camp, as you are only a 45 minute drive from Fredericksburg, but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. It’s located where the Llano and James rivers converge, which allows for kayaking or a dip in the refreshing waters (we were there in late summer and the waters were still surprisingly cool!). We arrived late in the day, as the sun was setting, but Tammy still came by that evening to make sure that we were settled in, and that all of our needs were met (she even surprised us with a box fan* for our tent!). Texas Hill country is stunning and has a lot to offer, but you could not ask for a better location to get a taste of it all, than Dos Rios! *FYI: We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the tents have electrical access, so we were able to run that fan and keep our portable speaker charged!

Tent camp site 3 was great! Lots of shade trees to put your tent under. Right across from bath house and close to River. There is also a secret bar across the street from the camp grounds that is not on the map with great views and outdoor space

Site 4 - Dos Rios Camping
We love it there very nice community. Site 4 was more secluded than site 1-2, but still had neighbors. Slightly loud, but quiet by 10pm. Neighbors were very respectful and to themselves. Very dog friendly, and lake just a 5min walk. Shower room is disgusting, but still usable. It’s camping, can’t have high standards. Still would definitely come again.

We rented the tiny home. It was clean and well attended to. The staff was nice, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Great location for relaxation, kayaking, and star gazing! Great restaurants near by!

Enjoyed the stay, will definitely be coming back. Water felt great, had great views on camp site two, starts were bright and met friendly new campers. The walk path to the water had lights which made the nights more beautiful. We enjoyed it.

You do not charge me a $55 cleaning fee when the sheets haven't been changed, but only deodorized with the strongest smelling deodorant I have ever encountered. White towels Always! Ours were gray with brown streaks. I guess somebody used them after they did their business in our cabin. Luckily we brought our own and used those after we showered/ swam. Had to listen to Tammy. Go on and on for 30 minutes about leaving a good review but you know what? No. To her credit she did give us two tubes for free. I'm not expecting Caesars Palace in this type of camping situation but it could have been a whole lot better.

Jupe - Site 2 - Riverfront Camping
I loved my stay at dos Rios, I stayed in the Jupe cliff hanger site. The views were magnificent and enjoyed looking down at the river and seeing the fish swimming around. Loved the hole area and definitely planning on coming back.

Dos Rios Cabin - 6
We booked a cabin for 6 people and had a great time. There was a hammock outside, a fire pit and a small charcoal grill. The cabin had great AC, a large fridge, a microwave, a large sink and a glass stovetop with an oven. The shower was very small though. I recommend bringing all kitchen gadgets that you would need for cooking and seasonings plus oil. There was a kayak rental available for $50 a day. The river was absolutely amazing and we even found some great places to take photos and jump into the water. The dirt public roads behind it were a lot of fun to explore with all the low water crossings. There was a burger joint right across from the place as well and they were well priced and absolutely delicious. The spots were close together so there wasn’t as much privacy as we thought but everyone was friendly and nice.

Nice campground right on the llano river. The park hosts were friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again if we’re in the area. The only negative was it needed weed eated very bad in the actual campsite. Ironically as we were leaving a man was out mowing so I imagine it’s not in that condition all the time. I really appreciated how dog friendly the place was. Our two dogs had a blast.

Site 11 - Dos Rios Camping
I went tent camping and my baseline is that I expect a private campground to be a better experience compared to a state park. This was not the case—bathrooms were horrendous, there was long grass at the campsite, and equipment was in disrepair. And signage could be significantly improved. I want to add this review, since the RV experience might be better (I’m not sure why there are so many positive reviews.) I was hoping to come back for the glamping tents, but this was nothing like the pictures. Too bad, since there is a lot of potential here with a little tlc.

Site 2 - Dos Rios Camping
This was our second trip to Dos Rios! I cannot recommend Campsite 2 enough. It’s right above the Llano River. I have no complaints and we’re ready to go back!
