We are a cozy little RV park right in the beautiful town of South Heart, just about 25 minutes from Medora and approximately 10 minutes from Dickinson. We are located just blocks from the golf course and the famous 'I Don't Know Bar'. We have big rig-friendly 100-ft pull-through sites with full RV hookups and 50-ft back in spots, all with 50 and 30 amps. Be sure to follow us on Facebook! (It won't let us put the link lol) REMINDER: There are no available bathrooms or showers on the property at this point, but as we improve the property, that will change. Beautiful campground close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park! This place was absolutely perfect! It was nice and quiet and we had a great view of wide open farmland, our 3 dogs had plenty of space to run (leashed) around. I regret not taking any photos apparently I only took some videos of our pups loving it.

Nothing fancy but this place checks all the boxes. Easy access to I-94, full functional hookups, level grassy site, quiet neighbors (most appear to be long-term campers), felt safe, and convenient to gas, food, & Dickinson. We received a detailed message concerning our arrival and the camp host met us when we arrived. This was a great place to camp while visiting TRNP.

My original spot was given to a group of three RV’s that were staying a month. I was given the option of any open sites for the night and chose a pull thru. Pretty basic, but the owners (a sweet and friendly young couple) state they are planning improvements.
Once a shower house/bathroom, possibly a laundry room, can be added, it would be even better! Pet owners kept dogs leashed, sites were a bit uneven but nothing we couldn’t handle.
Quiet time meant quiet time - a bit rowdy/fun initially, but 10pm and everything went quiet.
A lot of grasshoppers, but not really an issue.

Nice spacious spots just off I-94 near a gas station as well. Perfect little spot for us to stop for the night on our way across country! Located just 30 minutes from beautiful Theodore Roosevelt National Park!

Quiet and peaceful as long as you don't mind an occasional train which i did not mind at all. Nice little town and plenty of places to walk. There was a 4 mile loop around the large field by the RV spot that my dog and i walked every evening.

No frills spot to land at night with full hookups. It suited us just fine. We were there 3 nights pretty much just for sleeping as our days were busy. Hosts were incredibly nice and stoped to chat a few times as we were coming and going. Seemed some other guests were long term residents and they also were friendly as we passed each other.

Oh my, what a find this jewel of a park is!
Jason and Angela treated us like family and gave us the best site. So affordable, underpriced I’d say, close to all the things you’d want to see in the area. New hookups, and the views of the meadows were so peaceful. I highly recommend this RV park.

Jason was very helpful providing advice on an RV technical issue and other aspects of RV life. He also shared dining recommendations and sights to see. He's an excellent host.
We stayed for three nights at American RV Park and used it as a base to explore the various units in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It was 22 minutes to Painted Canyon visitor center, 28 minutes to South Unit visitor center, and one hour to North Unit visitor center, so it was a great location to set up our RV.
American RV Park is easily accessed from I-94. Dickinson is 11 miles away, and has many stores.

Easy to get to place to stay. I was here for just a short time to sleep on a rod trip home and it worked out perfectly, easy to find, access to flushing toilet, and even though technically in someone’s backyard it felt private.

Inexpensive camping close to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit (10 minute drive through Madora). My brother and I were happy with our two sites, 17 and 18, for their privacy. Many of the campsites are small and close together, although most have vegetation in between.
The two sites we had gave us an incredible view of the bluffs, and there was great sunset viewing a few steps away over the horse campground.
There is water at the entrance to the Cedar campground, but the outhouses are a few minutes walk away. Not a problem, just a comment.
The shower house looked new, and was a wonderful surprise - each shower was in its own little space, with a bench and a sink. All clean!
