1 night at Camp Strong WoodPeaceful, safe, and comfortable. The lake is an easy 10-15 minute or so hike back from the cabin. Groundskeeper was friendly and helpful but also respected privacy. It's a lovely place if you're looking for a quiet retreat for reading, writing, meditating, light hiking. Not a ton to do if you're looking to stay super active/busy, beyond canoing on the lake or walking the trails (maybe there is more in the surrounding area, which I didnt get a chance to explore). The main cabin was comfortable--great mattress, strong water pressure. Lots of spider webs/nests which didn't bother me (and helped catch a few flying critters who snuck in), but might not be great for anyone with a phobia :-)
The porch was lovely and well-shaded. Stayed pretty cool even in the afternoons, without many bugs.
Great stargazing from the lake, but hard from the cabin as there are lots of lights around the cabin and parking areas that turn on at night.
Overall, a lovely trip, with everything as advertised!
