Come join us in the beautiful forested landscape of Central Pennsylvania. Located a mere 20 miles south of Penn State University, we are surrounded by the many amenities Central PA has to offer.

We are welcoming to LGBTQ+ campers as well as all ethnicities.

Pitch a tent on a quiet site and drop a line into one of our two trout streams crossing the campground. Hang a hammock between two towering poplar trees surrounded by flowering rhododendron. Or pull up in your camper and relax before and after a Penn State Football game under the blue and white sky. We have small, secluded sites to get away from it all, as well as conjoined sites to accommodate larger groups.

On site we have bathrooms, hot showers, and a recreation hall with free ping pong, board games, and billiards.

For a fee, we also have firewood, electricity, a dump station, a couple tents for sleeping, and a large event tent for rent.

There are no water hookups, but you can fill water tanks.

Vehicle noise is audible from route 350, especially on Friday afternoons.  Noise is diminished at sites further back from route 350.

Our sites are wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms and showers do have one step up into them.

Walk to Snappy's 24-hour convenience store to use their free Wi-Fi, buy bags of ice, or to pickup snacks and a sub in the attached Subway restaurant. A farmers market as well as ice cream stand and restaurant are within walking distance.

The recognized holiday weekends for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, we require a minimum two nights stay.

It was absolutely beautiful. We were camped right next to the pond and my kids loved it.
The kids enjoyed walking through the camp ground and playing ping pong I'm the rec room. We listened to the bull frogs while we sat around the fire. Our puppy also had a blast with plenty of room to run (leashed of course). We will most definitely camp here again.

Always a great time at Bald Eagle Campsites! If you are looking for a beautiful camp area, gently flowing stream, dappled shade or full sun ~ your choice! Friendly Hosts always ready to please. Great game room, stores close by for the things you forgot! You couldn’t ask for more!

I had spot 19, which had a deck to set up the tent. It's also by the stream of water, which was really awesome. I'd love to come back to this exact site. Perfect. There are quite a bit of bug in the area though, bring repellent.

I enjoyed camping at Linda and Janet’s Hipcamp. I would recommend spot 19 or 13. I stayed in 21 but it was perfect for just me. Great location, easy access to town.

Nice stop on our travels. It was a private site with electric (#6), and plenty of room for our 16ft camper. Host was very accommodating and helped us to the site and was another set of eyes for camper backup! Site was close to the road and you did hear traffic, but it didn’t bother us. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stop in again.

I love the camping site! It was peaceful, host was very friendly they allow my American bully mix pitbull and chihuahua on site unlike other camping sites they did not allow my American bully mix. Most definitely I’ll come back again :)

Bald Eagle Campground was such a wonderful and relaxing place to visit!! We were greeted at the entrance, shown to our site, and given a brief history of the campground which was a fantastic way to start our stay. The site was quiet and scenic, we even saw a family of ducks and baby ducklings swim by while we were having our morning coffee!
The campground had lots of families staying for the weekend but it was so quiet and the sites are spaced out so you don’t feel like you’re on top of one another.
Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful, they even switched our reservation to a more removed site when I asked if the site I originally picked was near the creek. We got to camp in the “honeymoon suite” and it was perfect for our weekend away from home.
I can’t recommend this place enough…such a great experience and very clear that ALL are welcome, which made it easy to relax and have fun!
