Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Islandsite is located at the top of the island where the tumbling Squally Creek divides! Access is provided by the 40' long fallen tree bridge! Islandsite is amazing and very unique!
Diamondstone, Heartstone, and Islandsite all feature a picnic table, charcoal grille, and comfort facility. They are all within a short walk from your private parking! Enjoy evenings at the new fire pit area with benches overlooking the fire pit and creek!

Things to do around the area, Fall Creek Falls State Park. Fall Creek Falls, at 256 feet, is one of the highest waterfalls east of the Rockies. While at the park enjoy the cascades, gorges, waterfalls, hiking, fishing, golf, boating rental, bicycling, picnic, playgrounds, basketball court, softball field, snack bars and enjoy the nature.
We are less than 1 hour away from Rock Island State Park and Cumberland Mountain State Park.
Located in Van Buren County, within a 30-minute drive. The Fall Creek Mennonite community has a variety of small businesses (seasonal produce, garden center, greenhouse, fabric, metal shop, warehouse and general store) in their community.
Also, on the way to Fall Creek Mennonite community is Fall Creek Falls Riding Stables. They provide a guided horseback tour through the woods. It normally takes an hour.
Spencer is a small town, with 2 convenience store, 1 Save-A-Lot, Family Dollar, Dollar General, a café open Tuesday-Friday (times vary) and subway.

Following upstream is an assortment of spots to pitch a tent. The most notable sites are surrounded by hemlock tree's and is peaceful when birds chirp over the small rapids echoing from the large overhang
*I am in the process of making multiple sites but until I do so it is first come first serve. There are multiple sites at main campsite and along creek, I've had a private event of thirty people staying at once. There are also smaller spots next to waterfall, uphill near cliff and I've had people go below falls for some complete wilderness (blocked by gorge and waterfall). With this being said, I do offer private bookings and accommodate special events!
*I travel for work, so I won't always be here, but I will send directions and details after confirmation and make sure all is savvy during. Please be respectful to one and another and let me know asap if any issues arise but truthfully everyone has been amazing and I thoroughly enjoy meeting and getting to know everyone!

Learn more about this land:This primitive campsite is located 5 minutes from the Abrams Creek Ranger Station at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is private, shaded, and next to a small stream that will lull you to sleep at night. There is a bathhouse with a composting toilet and cold shower available. An old concrete picnic table stands as a testament to the enjoyment and relaxation of several generations and is now glad to be uncovered and open for many generations to come. There are numerous species of wild flora and fauna right there in your campsite! Across the fence is an old barn and field that will remind you of mountain living from days gone by. You will have access to miles of backcountry hiking once you take the 5 minute drive to the GSMNP and you can come back to your campsite and enjoy your privacy! You may also enjoy motorcycling on the dragon which is 5 miles at the end of Happy Valley Road. Or...maybe you just want to hang up the hammock and listen to the frogs and watch the fireflies. Whatever your hobby is, this campsite is the place to call home.

Great, simple campground for our large group of 11! We reserved three campsites! Each site has space for about 3 tents! Great fire pits. They sell fire wood. The trading post was awesome. There was no running water in the campground, bring your own!! Chill spot

We loved camping on the island while two river streams flow by on each side of the campsite. The campsite is well equipped with a grill, deck for tent, bathroom. Our favorite part was waking up and taking a dip in the cold river water to wake up and start our day.

Brian’s campsite is truly a slice of heaven on earth. Pictures pale in comparison to the magic you will feel here in the Smokey Mountains. I stayed at hearthstone for 2 nights, lulled to sleep by the roaring buffalo creek, just steps away from my tent. The camp is beautifully maintained, and hand built by the owner himself! It was a pleasure to speak with Brian in person during my stay, learning of his travels and endeavors that brought him to Appalachia. I cannot recommend this spot enough. BOOK IT!
Some tips: I drove into the site in a AWD Cadillac sedan with 5.9” clearance and had no trouble. Just go slow and you’ll be fine. In the cooler months, make sure to pack wool/fleece blankets for sleeping, as the blue side of the mountain shows no mercy to air mattresses. Never had any encounters with wildlife, but kept food stored inside my car, never near my tent. Bring ample bug spray, solar lights, and fire starting options as the ground is wet year round and the canopy of trees blocks out a lot of moonlight.

Exactly what we were looking for!
A mix of private and secluded but also plenty to do near by.
Very clean area, easy hookups for campers, and so much room. We visited the waterfall near by, as well as ate at the Dairy Mart.
At night time, it was a perfect spot to view the stars.
We hope to make it back soon!

The host Brian was very nice and accommodating. Asked if I needed anything said to not be afraid to reach out if I did . The campsite is private and picturesque. In the evening sat outside and photographed deer in the field . Absolutely loved this place . Highly recommend it .

The tents are terrific, weathered and entire night’s worth of thunderstorms and almost an inch of rain beautifully. Cots were comfortable. Facilities are clean and the stable itself is gorgeous. My dogs enjoyed the stay too!
