Our 100 year old stone barns are on 20 acres just a few miles from Great Falls. Next to us is an alfalfa field with a great view of our maple tree and cottonwoods. Our home is nestled in trees with a patio deck for a picnic or drink.

Our family built a cabin in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the 1970’s. We’ve been coming out for over 20 years to visit and now are making this our home. One thing about this area that really strikes me is the gorgeous Ear Mountain. It hovers with the rest of the Rocky Mountain Front making a beautiful back drop for the quaint town of Choteau.
We are located 90 miles from St. Mary’s in Glacier park. If you are looking to go to Glacier we are an excellent spot to stay and rest on your journey.
The town of Choteau has several restaurants, gas stations with propane, a drug store and Rex’s grocery. If you feel like walking downtown, you’ll see the historic buildings like the Courthouse built in 1906.

The hayloft was closed for maintenance, but the bunkhouse was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The heater kept my little dog and I cozy all night. A great place to stay!

Weekend Trip to A Canyon Stay with Mini A-frame
Absolutely beautiful property. Thoughtful accommodations(games, solar powered flashlight/radio, books, hiking poles). Truly a wonderful experience. We didn’t encounter any bears but we did get to see a few deer. I recommend getting there during the light hours so you can find your way. Easy to follow instruction. Hosts are responsive and welcoming. Propane fire pit was a nice bonus. Our indoor heater was out of propane but we were comfortable. Bathroom and shower are down a little ways from the a-frame but not a bad walk. Definitely set up for a camper ready for a little glamp :)

This is the second time I have stayed at Choteau Mountain cabins. The cabins are unchanging in their simplicity and comfort, which suits me fine. We made a campfire in the firepit, only to have to quickly put it out due to thunderstorm winds. The hosts are cheery and as helpful as we wanted them to be. At night the campground is very quiet and the rural community comes to life at sunrise, which suited us.

We stayed in the rustic bunkhouse and it was so nice. I think it’s nicer in person than it looks in the pictures. Their dog OLF was an excellent host and made my dog feel very comfortable. Becky checked to make sure we had everything we needed and it was a very comfortable stay.

Kate and Ben's A-frame was awesome. Just a few minutes from the highway, but still very secluded. No other buildings or anything around. The cabin was super cute and cozy. And with the side open, there's a great view of the canyon during the day and the stars at night. Highly recommend!

What a perfect getaway spot. This cabin is nestled amidst hills and forest and is such a peaceful retreat from the world. The cabin has everything that you need to just unplug and the shower is amazing! A vehicle with clearance is a must to climb the last part of the drive, especially if it has been raining. I will definitely return!

Kate's land was beautiful, and the mini a-frame was so sweet and special. There has been a lot of thought put into the space. A nice balance of amenities offered, including yummy instant coffee! (like, really good instant coffee?!), kitchen needs and charcoal grill, hot shower, composting toilet and all the things you need to feel cozy to go to sleep. At the same time, we still lost cell phone service and were out in some degree of wilderness.
I would definitely recommend staying here!

Our cabin is cute, clean and very homey. We lived our stay at Choteau, the outside mountain view is amazing. They all have the amenities that you may need during your stay. The host is very accommodating ❤️, sunset is very beautiful. Our daughter enjoyed and loved their playground ❤️ shower and bathroom is clean ❤️ overall, our stay is excellent! Highly recommend ❤️

Staying in the A Frame was a dream: the structure opens up so you can relax and take in the beauty of the mountains. The hosts were fantastic and provided everything my dog and I needed for our overnight trip. The cherry on top is the custom outdoor shower. A perfect balance of remote with select amenities to make for a great trip. I would highly recommend a stay here and am hoping to return myself!

This tiny cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway and we can't wait to come back! We were comfortable as two adults and 2 dogs (beds pushed together, extra stuff stored inside one of the beds) and all 4 of us enjoyed lounging on the deck with the side of the A-frame opened like an awning. It rained one evening but we stayed dry, watching the storm through the large window side. The temperature dropped at night to perfect sleeping weather and the provided bedding and blankets were plenty warm.
We hiked (bushwacked) up to the ridge at Kate's suggestion and enjoyed awesome views of the Big Belts and the canyon. River access is close by for a swim in the Missouri and a few beers at the bar 5 mins away made for a great little happy hour.
We brought our own camp kitchen setup and propane stove but a charcoal grill and table are provided in a cooking pavilion and plates/mugs/utensils for two. It felt luxurious having a "real bathroom" and a hot shower while camping!
We thoroughly enjoyed the glamping experience at the A-frame so much that my husband now wants to build one :)

Becky is a wonderful host! We stayed in the red barn and thought it was an absolute delightful experience. The barn was comfortable and Becky even provided an air mattress for my kids to sleep on. I will 100% recommend staying here and would love to book again on a future trip through Great Falls.

She gave us the option between the bunkie and hayloft. We let the kids choose, and the bunkie won. It gave us a little feel of being “little house on the prairie” and we enjoyed our time very much.
