Granite Creek Ranch is a 4th generation working cattle and horse ranch established in 1921 operated by the same family for over a century. Meadows, crop fields and forested mountains cover the ranch. 230 pairs of cows and two dozen horses call it home along with herds of Elk, Mule and Whitetail Deer, Moose, Coyotes, Redtail Hawks, Bald Eagles, Cranes and many other bird species. 4 Moonlight Cottages with AC and heat that sleep 5 or 6 in 2 queens plus one adult friendly twin (cottages B and D) or two kid-friendly twins bunked together (cottages A and C), mini-kitchenettes, and just a few steps away is the deluxe no-fee Loo-uvre Restroom and Shower House
Two 20' diameter year-round yurts with themed decor-- each sleeps 4 in one queen and two twins with all bed and bath linens, plus a very well-stocked kitchen, and a firepit, pergola, picnic table and Char-griller charcoal BBQ outside.
Camper trailer-- 16' vintage camper Little Buffy that sleeps 2 and has a mini-kitchenette and guests use the Loo-uvre Restroom/Shower House close by.
New to the Lodge is Adirondack-style "The Bunkie" that sleeps 6 or 7 plus has a desk, microwave and fridge.
All bed and bath linens are provided in all of our rooms. Firepits are a-plenty!
Our Inn also has great tent sites, plus both 30 amp and 50 amp RV/Camper sites with water and electric, a firepit and picnic table each, plus a fee dump station. We are currently planning/building another shower/restroom house and a laundry mat. There is a fee dump station on site.
With over ten acres of property to play at and stroll, your stay will be one of fun, peace and quiet. Our RV & Camp is fun! We have our famous Borrow Barn with loads of complementary activities including a 9 hole disc golf course with maps/disc/scorecards, free pedal boats, Little Free Library #69967, volleyball, tetherball, badminton, board games and more, plus our cruiser bicycles in our Bike Corral are for guests to enjoy on property also. Children must be watched always and very closely-- enjoy being with your children on the property.
A beautiful Restroom and Shower House is fee free.
We are located in the Heise-Kelly Canyon of southeast Idaho with fabulous sunrises and sunsets.
We are very close to hiking, hot springs, rapelling, 200+ miles of ATV and SxS trails, golf, mini-golf, a driving range, skiing, ice cream parlor and two restaurants, and the mighty Snake River corridor right across the road. 90 minutes to the east to Jackson/GTNP/then South Gate in YNP (2 routes-- the mountain pass or the easy Snake River route), and 90 minutes to the north to West Yellowstone/Yellowstone West Gate (2 steep mountain passes). Both routes are beautiful with waterfalls, gorgeous mountain views, and Idaho countryside. We are 20 minutes from Bear World in Rexburg, and less than two hours from Grand Teton Park and Yellowstone National Park regardless of which of the four routes that you take, with each route including a beautiful waterfall. 90 minutes to the east to Jackson/GTNP/then South Gate in YNP (2 routes-- the mountain pass or the easy Snake River route), and 90 minutes to the north to West Yellowstone/Yellowstone West Gate (2 steep mountain passes). Both routes are beautiful with waterfalls, gorgeous mountain views, and Idaho countryside.

Bristol is bordered by the Portneuf River to the North and Mt Moh to the South, offering river access and a host of trails. Fishing in the river is great, boasting rainbow, cut throat, brook and brown trout. There's also a few great swimming holes right below the property, including a 15 ft. waterfall. Guests may hike trails to the old mines, or be directed to a plethora of trails for biking nearby. The setting at Bristol is uniquely peaceful for the busy tourist town of Lava Hot Springs. Although still technically within city limits, the place offers an atmosphere of it's own, seemingly outside of time. Once a miners camp and stage coach stop along the Oregon Trail, we have worked hard to maintain the buildings and grounds. With an abundance of trees, (bonus if you can name all varieties) the main compound is well shaded through the hot summer months. I loved this cozy cabin!! It had everything my dog and I needed to get a good night’s rest before we set off for our hike. Instructions to check in were very simple and it was easy to find even though I got there pretty late at night. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was cozy, bed was comfy, and bathroom worked well. Used the A/C because we couldn't open the two windows up front, which restricted a beautiful, cool airflow.
No toaster. No utensils. All bedding was there and clean. Hosts were friendly and a good resource if local information. Price was right! We would stay there again.

I stayed here with my dog while attending a concert in Jackson, WY. Quiet, serene location. Beautiful scenery. The cabin was cute and stocked with towels, basic toiletries, and a few disposable kitchen utensils. The cabin was cozy with comfortable beds. I utilized the TV, refrigerator and coffee machine with no issues. We enjoyed spending time relaxing on the porch. We would definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed camping here. They have a free pool and hot tub to use. Electricity in cabins with a celing fan to keep cool. They have free clean showers and bathrooms. I will mention that while they do have firewood it is not free. Make sure to take some with you or pay for some there. The price is reasonable. They do have coin up wash machines. The cabins are reasonably priced for a night. I will definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Hover Campground in Swan Valley!
We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin in Swan Valley! The cabin itself was so cute and cozy, and the AC was a lifesaver after being out in the summer sun. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The whole campground was beautifully kept, peaceful, and had such a charming atmosphere. It truly felt like the perfect little getaway spot. We will definitely be coming back again~ we loved it so much! :)

First time staying in an RV Park. I liked the little cabin. It's a little humid inside the cabin in summer but we had a box fan that helped a little. The park has doggy play areas, playground for the kids, chess and basketball. The bathroom was very clean with warm showers. The pool was clean and everything seemed to be taken care of and clean. The little shop has some food and gifts. Everyone we met employees and guests were very nice. The little food truck has some yummy chicken tenders and onion rings. The food truck employees were also very nice.

Basic RV Park. The cabins are a great value. You cannot see the river or get next to it even though it is right there, not sure why. Remember to bring your own bedding for the cabins. Overall a great stay for the price.

The grounds were extremely well maintained, beautifully decorated and lovingly tended to! The place had a lot of extra nice touches and amenities that made one of a kind. Staff was helpful and made sure we always had what we needed. I will say, the service is extremely spotty, especially depending on your phone carrier and there is no WIFI. For safety reasons this is something I wish we had access to as the site was in a pretty rural area.

We needed accomodations between Idaho Falls and GTNP, Hover Camp fit on our route nicely. There are plenty of RV spaces with power and water and next time, we may bring our camper, For this stay we stayed in the Red Mountain Cabin. It was well appointed and clean. We had everything we needed.

I loved the whole vibe of the place. Cute little touches every where, like a pair of old ice skates hanging on a bannister. Breakfast was amazing, and so was the coffee. Rooms where small and cozy. Bathrooms were rustic, could use a little dusting from floor to ceiling, but clean towels and a great shower. Will definitely be back!!

This place was great. It worked great for our family reunion. Because of some older mobility issues we chose to.use the upper grassy area for most of our cooking and hanging out but the firepit was awesome in the evenings. It was nice to be a little rambunctious into the evening without worrying too much about neighbors... there were several times that stray 4 wheelers would come into the property which was a concern of mine with young kids with us. I lived having a private secluded place for our family reunion. There was some construction going on so a big trench we had to keep telling kids to stay out of and a big gravel pile kids played on.

This is a clean well kept place to spend a night. We were only there to be close to Yellowstone and I’d recommend it for the price point, safety, kindness of the staff, and cleanliness. You will not be disappointed.
