• Power & hookups: No electric or water hookups. This is primitive tent and small-RV camping (rigs under 20 ft).
• Pets: Dog-friendly! Pets are welcome on-leash — we just ask that you clean up after them.
• Campfires: Campfires are welcome in the provided fire pits (weather and local fire bans permitting). Firewood is available at The Outpost, our on-site general store — please don't bring outside firewood, which helps protect the forest.

Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips.
We DO allow tent camping.
Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi.
An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm.
Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired.
The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse).
There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

The name Seven Islands comes from the rich history of this area and the nearby trading site between Native Americans and settlers in the 1800s on the seven islands of the Ocmulgee River. For Equestrian campers, we have an electric hook-up near the house and a round-pen size paddock for horses (or can make panels into stalls) +$7/horse/night. To be open some time in 2025* We are happy to ride with you when available if desired - or we recommend using the Outdoor Active or Gaia app. Our tent camping area is a peaceful, shady area overlooking meandering Kinnard Creek. The dirt road is within view, but it is a country road rarely travelled by anyone other than kayakers and other recreationists. You may hear the friendly nicker or see our 3 horses coming to check you out, but their pasture area does not intrude on the camping area. Hike or ride your horses on the nearby trails. The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.

As always liberty stables is always a site to see from the chickens to the goats and watching the horses graze the beautiful pastures. The clear dark night skies with beautiful stars. We had the absolute best weekend fishing trip at Thomas Land! It’s such a beautiful, calm, and relaxing spot that has everything you need for a comfortable camping stay. We caught a ton of fish and genuinely enjoyed every minute of our time there.
Thomas is so welcoming and friendly. He met us right at the entrance and walked us through everything we needed to know. A special thank you to his farm caretaker, Mr. Tucker, who was incredible. He helped us catch fish and even gave my son some wonderful, free fishing lessons.
If you're looking for a peaceful getaway for camping and fishing, this is definitely the place to go. We will definitely plan again soon.

Beautifully peaceful location! If you’re looking for a peaceful weekend with a gorgeous view, boat rentals and quality fishing look no further! The owners were super nice and very helpful! The other campers and day fishers there were really kind and super respectful of each other! They have electrical hookups for rv/camper use and a clean bath house for use! You can really tell when hosts have put lots of love and attention to detail in a property. The airstream was comfortable and fully stocked with essentials as well as fun touches like books and games. We could hang out on the deck, with its fans and string lights, for hours... it was a quick visit, but it was the perfect place to celebrate our son's 5th birthday morning. Casey & Jessica’s spot was just as described! Site 1 is nicely shaded and provided plenty of room for our truck & trailer. Jessica drove by to introduce herself as they live close and made sure we didn’t need anything. I would recommend Georgia Bushcraft to anyone looking for a nice weekend getaway.
