• Power & hookups: No electric or water hookups. This is primitive tent and small-RV camping (rigs under 20 ft).
• Pets: Dog-friendly! Pets are welcome on-leash — we just ask that you clean up after them.
• Campfires: Campfires are welcome in the provided fire pits (weather and local fire bans permitting). Firewood is available at The Outpost, our on-site general store — please don't bring outside firewood, which helps protect the forest.

Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips.
We DO allow tent camping.
Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi.
An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm.
Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired.
The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse).
There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

On the 1-acre tract, in the pecan grove next to the tiny home where you'll be staying, there is 120v electrical as well as a water hookup. We also have tiki torches and a fire pit for spending time around the fire in the evening.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! All fires must be contained inside the designated hubcap chiminea. Do not attempt to build any fires outside of this container. All fires must be fully extinguished when unattended.
We welcome you to join us for an evening or a few on our homestead!
The microfarm is complete with D.I.Y. designs; fruit trees, raised beds, composting bins, a bat house, water-catchment barrels, a fruit/vegetable sun-dryer, and a 11-by-40-foot greenhouse. It's our home and humble work in progress community vision. Currently in residence are our domestic and farm cats, some of whom you may meet during your stay.
Every step of Communitowhee’s growth has been taken with deep thought and consideration for the health and history of its land. Each infrastructure design has been and will continue to be built from sustainable, up and recycled materials to minimize environmental impact. And, whether it be converting a traditional garden bed into a self-irrigating wicking bed or figuring out how to affix new tires to an antique Radio Flyer wagon — every project has been achieved through grit, trial-and-error, tons of YouTube videos, and the inherited instincts of many centuries of farming ancestors.
During the growing season you might find:
Eggplant, tomatoes, yellow squash, cucumbers, jalapeno peppers, bell peppers, green onions, garlic chives, kale, collards, cabbage, lettuce, watermelon, cantaloupe, and various herbs basil, turmeric, dandelion, dog fennel, mint, pear, plum, blackberries and fig trees as well as many varieties of blueberry.
Our long-term vision for Communitowhee is a hybrid community consisting of an ecovillage, monastery, and workers cooperative, But if we’ve learned anything as newbie farmers, the path to abundance is taken one small step at a time.

We have 2 full-hookup sites for RVs with 30-amp power, water, and septic, along with a portable bathhouse with a shower, sink, and toilet available during non-winter months. You may need to turn on the power via the main electic panel which is located near the site and hot water meter behind the bath house if we are not on site as we keep these off when not in use.
Coming soon is a seasonal self-service farm stand where you will be able to purchase a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, jams, hot sauce, and other homemade goodness. A houseboat/tiny house will also be available for overnight stays.

I had a great time. I found a nice place to set up the tent close to the pole barn, I like my coffee in the morning and didn't want to waste time getting it so I opted for the use of the electricity. The ducks were fun, I think they thought they were dogs. I was impressed by how well maintained the property was and was completely comfortable walking around. I really enjoyed walking on the grass barefoot and the mosquitoes really weren't that bad. I went for peace and quiet and that is exactly what I got. Coffee and quiet.

The kindest people! I took my mother camping for the first time and of course weather fools us. Tropical storm hit and Bill was lut there in a jiffy to check on us! He was sweet enough to get us a shower head from his own home just for the women's bathroom !

I loved Liberty Stables! Traveling solo, privacy and security is of most importance. Love the goats and mini horses. Being a horse person myself and on a traveling vacation, it was very relaxing to be around the horses. It felt like home.
