Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips. We DO allow tent camping. Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi. An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm. Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired. The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse). There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

Weekend Trip to Deerfield Farms

Everything was great. We were welcomed at the entrance and even driven around property. Everything was clean and nicely maintained. Even so the water temps in pond were down I was still able to catch 6 bass and a large Bream. Campfire was nice and plenary of wildlife. Super secluded and safe. We will be back for sure.

This was such a lovely stay. It was so relaxed. Easy. Clean. And the location is amazing because you can get anywhere in town in 15 minutes. We can’t wait to come back. Finding this site was such a gift for us.

It is so tempting to keep this five star find to myself, but Jessie deserves all the praise for this adorable, safe, comfortable spot! With gorgeous sunrises over the pond and sweetly appointed digs comes friendly animals and a homestead vibe. She has thought of everything and it's all immaculately kept. You are centrally located to all of Augusta and Aiken (I grew up here, I know!) but you feel like you're in a remote woodsy location. We will be back!

We came in late and was setting up camp in the dark when we heard footsteps coming towards us from the forest. It's when we realized a cute little kitten had wandered over to hang out with us. We told the campsite owner and they were really friendly. Our group had such a great time, and the kitten hanging out with us all night made it even better.

We had a great time at this campsite. The property was beautiful. The bath house was accommodating. The outdoor shower was pleasent (and private). Randy was welcoming. It was awesome being able to explore all the beautiful trails with the golf cart he let us use. Wish we could have spent more time here but we were just passing through on our way to Edisto Isalnd.

Beautiful place ! It is heaven ! We were supposed to stay for one day and we ended up staying 4 nights ! It was hard to leave ! Lake is beautiful! My son caught 4 fishes! It s perfect for swimming and hiking ! The owners are very welcoming and friendly! The best 💛

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Lizard Sniffer! The host Randy was very friendly and offered us a golf cart to ride around the property and see the other sites they are working on. They have a Hobbit House that is the most miraculous thing out of this world! I truly felt like we were walking into an amusement park with all the detail they have put into this place. All the cabins are different themes and unique in their own way. It was not crowded at all and so relaxing to spend time watching the horses and their super friendly Donkey. We brought our dog Buddy with us to stay and they have horse paddocks set up next to the sites for use for your dogs to roam free or for your horses to get a little exercise when traveling. Randy has made sure that all his guests have everything they could possibly need to enjoy their stay to include free firewood, washer, dryers bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs and a bidet. You can definitely see how much thought, imagination and love has been poured into every detail of this place. This is no ordinary campground by any means! “Lizard Sniffer” I highly suggest that you book a few nights to see this magical place and meet these awesome people that have shared their vision for others to enjoy.! I wish we had had more time to spend there but definitely plan to go back again soon! Well done Randy!

Beautiful property. Easy to get to with many amenities. Tom graciously met us and guided us to our spot and we had a lovely chat. In addition to full hookups, there was an additional outside bathroom and shower, which is probably great in the hot summer. A great screened in gathering room with TV, kitchen area, table and chairs, and grill. Beautiful pond too. The night sky cannot be beat while sitting around the fire. So much room to spread out and enjoy the surroundings. We loved it and will enjoy coming back.

This place was very nice. We were right beside the water and the shower. The shower in the bathroom are cute. Little houses, but inside are very clean and very nice and well stocked.

Absolutely the best one I’ve been to so far. Lovely, clean, easy to get in and out, and very private. Even has a little covered area with lights and a fan. If you’re driving through Saluda, this is the perfect spot for an RV or tent. Oh! And James is super nice and very helpful. He shows that he truly cares about his property and guests.
