Misleading, overpriced listing
We reserved this space for three nights but ended up staying two after realizing the listing is very misleading. In the end, the site is not by a river, does not have a private bathroom, is next to a goat and horse stable, and has zero shade (it reached 100 deg. when we were there). The closest running creek is about 200 yards away.
They say there is a bathroom but make sure and read the description so you know that it’s a five-gallon bucket with a toilet lid and no toilet paper. Camping toilets don’t bother us, but there is no shade or privacy provided. The Glamping tent, small Airbnb, and house all look down into the campsite and could watch. Not to mention the driveway that borders the campsite.
The owners also didn’t seem to respect the space or its occupants. The directions aren’t accurate; the owner said that the landmark they provide to find the spot hasn’t been there for two years. They were initially unresponsive to calls, messages through the app, and text messages as we were trying to find our space and set up. They have a fire pit, but it’s very close to dry brush, none of which was cut back to avoid the chance of a field fire. The campsite is directly next to goats which we’re bleating through the night and horses who would kick around. Not to mention they invited others around our campsite to sell pallets while our dogs were off leash and we were relaxing.
Overall WAY overpriced and should be avoided until they provide any value they say they do.
