Joe's Peace Park was a great primitive camp that I recommend to anyone. I pitched my tent next to a picnic table and headed to town for microbrew. Great place. There's a lot of history in that area and Joe can tell you a bit about it, including the Moravian mission that was established nearby by Christian Frederick Post, a major negotiator in the French and Indian war.

Nice quiet site. Joe was extremely nice and accommodating. Had a great time! Will definitely return in the future. The kids loved watching air bud run around, very friendly dog!

This was the first time we ever went camping! We are si happy it was at Peace Park☺️ Joe was AWESOME!!!! The Porto Potty was spacious and very clean. Joe provided a hose for water which came in handy. We did bring a blow up mattress for tent ( remember first time campers :) and thankfully he had an electrical hook-up we could use to just fill it up!!! We would recommend it! Breakfast at Canal Diner was great too👍

Great hospitality, and even greater porta john! The convenience of this place can't be touted enough- right next to Towpath and Tusc River, along with Lockport Brewery and Canal Street Diner. We parked the car and didn't touch it for two days, instead biking everywhere we needed to go. I'd recommend bringing ear plugs, though, because locals tend to drive the most unpleasantly loud vehicles they can find.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! Sorry about the traffic noise which is largely due to our being located on a 90-degree corner with a slight slope which seems to cause trucks to downshift brake and motorcyclists to speed up once they pass the corner on our Ohio-Erie Canal Scenic Byway and of course, we also have the railroad traffic to contribute. I've always blown the noise off as part of the history of transportation, however, I'll be editing our description to use your recommendation of bringing earplugs for a more peaceful night's sleep. ;) Happy Trails!

Joe is a wonderful host! The campground was well kept, secluded enough to enjoy some alone time but close enough to town to not be inconvenient. A great place to get away for a little while and relax

Was a lovely site only downside we thought we were able to easily access the water and weren’t able too. Great spot though everything you need.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! I'm sorry that you thought we were located with easier Tuscarawas River access than our description "The Mighty Tuscarawas river is about 300 yards to our west." suggests! Happy trails!

I enjoyed my stay. Joe is very friendly and well versed in the history of the area. Bathroom was close and very clean. He provided FREE firewood for the campers. Each site had a fire out and picnic table with umbrella.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay! Actually, I charge $10 for the firewood, although, I did give the wood that was cut for the construction of the trail across my property freely, until it ran out. ;) We currently allow campers to use all the wood they may need per day for the $10 fee and offer a wheelbarrow to transport it to their campsite, even though it's listed "by the bundle". I suspect that it may have been an oversight, but no worries, as we enjoyed hosting you guys! Happy trails!
