This was a nice quiet little spot literally right off the towpath and anything you might need (restaurants, grocery) is a very short ride away in Bolivar. Joe is welcoming and the spot is quiet in the evening.

This is the perfect location for bikers and hikers on the towpath, as long as they don’t mind primitive camping (there is a well kept, deluxe port-o-potty). Clean, quiet and affordable. Joe, the owner, couldn’t be nicer and is passionate about the area’s history. Head a mile down the road into downtown Boliver and try Sublime BBQ,, it is AMAZING.

A truly lovely and well maintained little shire. ❤ Host was friendly and helpful, tip my hat to the wood situation! Only drawback was closeness to a highway that was rather busy at all times of day and the ground shaking train that startled us at odd hours. However, this is a very clean, safe, and comfortable place to camp. Highly recommend! Toilet is extremely clean and the area remains well lit by motion sensors so you get the safety of not falling in but don't have yo deal with constant light.

Joe's Peace Park was a great primitive camp that I recommend to anyone. I pitched my tent next to a picnic table and headed to town for microbrew. Great place. There's a lot of history in that area and Joe can tell you a bit about it, including the Moravian mission that was established nearby by Christian Frederick Post, a major negotiator in the French and Indian war.
