Description

Looking for a simple cabin nestled in the backcountry of western Montana, surrounded by rugged mountain landscape? Found it! Stony Creek Cabin is a primitive, one-room cabin with two bunk beds that sleep four people. It was built in 1914 to provide a place for Forest Service employees to sleep. There is a table and chairs, some kitchen utensils, a wood-burning stove (firewood is provided), and a propane cooking stove (BYO propane!). Head across the street to the campground for drinking water. Squaw Rock overlooks the cabin, and there are lots of hiking and biking trails around!
