If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
I absolutely loved staying on John‘s land. It is a beautiful, tranquil spot on a corner of his lovely farm. Not long after I arrived John stopped by with a delicious warm fresh-baked loaf of sourdough bread that I had ordered, along with a complementary sample of homemade honey. It was all delicious and much appreciated. I recommend staying here and hope to be back one day.
Our camping experiences was amazing and we get to see fall foliage on the camp site. We got honey, pizza and bread from John. All of the things were very tasty. John is really nice and its very easy to communicate with him. Definitely recommend the farm.
Amazing remote camping experience!!
This was an absolutely great experience. My family enjoys the remote camping experience and this camp site delivered. It was very quiet and off the beaten path. The property is amazing with a pond and everything. We utilized a roof top tent so we were not able to camp by the pond, however the area we were in was just as nice and is only a short walk to the pond. John was super attentive with answering any questions that we had. He makes amazing sourdough bread as well as many other farm related items which you can purchase for your stay. There is NO cell service which was very much appreciated. We will absolutely be back!!!
Our stay at John’s blueberry orchard by the pond was idyllic. If was off the beaten path, in the mountains, and out of cell phone range for us. Which we enjoyed! He was very accommodating with the extra add ons and getting water to us. It was a tranquil place near some cool waterfalls, nearby country store, and trails. Don’t miss out on camping at John’s place!!
Absolutely beautiful stay!
John was so helpful, and the camping spot was beautiful! We forgot coffee and we were able to Venmo him for some delicious lattes. At night, we were able to hear the frogs and wildlife so clearly, and it was in a great area. We would love to stay here again.
Very nice place to stay! If you’re a tent camper, check this place out. Such a beautiful spot by the pond. I’m a SUV camper so I couldn’t drive down there. I had plenty of space on the other side of the blueberry orchard. John was very helpful with places to visit. Enjoyed my quiet time!
John was an excellent host and the site was really lovely. Due to a wrong turn and a few unexpected delays, we got to the site later than anticipated. John was extremely helpful and gracious in speaking with us by phone to help us find the property (in the dark and rain!), and we arrived to a vase of fresh flowers at the site. We enjoyed the songs of frogs throughout the night and got to explore the lovely land surrounding the site in the morning. The site was really private and the set up was convenient (picnic table, fire pit, flat ground for the tent). I'd definitely come back and really enjoyed the visit!
Peaceful and beautiful
I needed a quiet day to myself, and the blueberry orchard was the perfect spot to park my van for a couple of nights. It was peaceful and private with lots of birds (even a quick glimpse of a pileated woodpecker!) and a fantastic thunderstorm in the afternoon, and I had the good luck to be there when the blueberries were ripe! I walked down to the tent site by the pond, it is a very peaceful spot also, with a welcoming frog chorus (and a few mosquitoes...). The stars were fantastic the first night -- the Milky Way was brilliant and I caught a couple of Perseid shooting stars -- and there were fireflies too!
John was a great host -- while I never met him in person, he was always available by text, and with his permission I picked myself a quart of berries and paid him by venmo for the berries and a small jar of honey that his wife brought over for me.
I highly recommend this hipcamp, and I will definitely make time to stay there again!
