Opequon Quaker Camp is located on the Rolling Ridge Conservancy. the Conservancy is home to three non-profit, partner organizations and consists of more that 1700 acres of protected forests and fields. the land is all accessible to the public on its extensive trail system, connecting to the Appalachian Trail (near Raven's Rock and Wilson's Gap ) and reaching down to the Shenandoah River. Rooms in our Lodge, tent sites and large wall tents and use of the commercial kitchen and dining hall are available.

The Lodge At Opequon

The Lodge is a large building with and large gathering area, a kitchenette, 2 bathrooms (4 toilets, 4 showers and 4 sinks total). There are six separate rooms for sleeping. Each room can snugly accommodate 3 people in one bunk bed and a cot. Adults may want to consider only having 2 people in each room. Mattresses are provided but please bring your own linens or sleeping bags. Bathroom paper products are provided. WiFi is available for a fee upon request The kitchenette has a stove, a fridge, basic cooking utensils and table service. There is also a charcoal grill on the porch. Charcoal is NOT provided. The gathering room has a fire place and firewood is generally available in the shed behind the building. There may also be a brazier you can use for outdoor fires. Trash can be left in the Can on the front porch.

Now this is Glamping! Enjoy a stay in our 20' by 16' wall tent with a 4' covered porch. Each tent is pitched on a wooden platform and will have beds for 4 to 6 people, table, chairs and a wood stove. Electrical service will be provided for light applications (e.g. a small fan if it is hot; a small lamp, phone or laptop charging, a small coffee maker etc.) Outside each site will have a fire pit, a picnic table and access to potable water. Beds and mattresses will be provided but please bring your own bedding, linens cooking utensils and dishes. The inside stove has a flat top that can be used for simple cooking and there are brazers outside if you would prefer to cook there. Bathrooms and Showers will be provided as long as the weather allows us to keep the water on. if you are coming in the winter months please bring a camp toilet.

If you need a larger commercial kitchen and dining hall for your group, we have it. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster table service for 100 and a 6 burner range with a flattop and 2 ovens. There is also a convection oven, 2 commercial refrigerators, and a chest freezer. everything you need to cook for up to 100 people. The dining hall seats around 90 people at 8 ft tables with benches. There is no place to sleep in the Kitchen/Dining Hall so you will need other accommodations for sleeping

The Lodge At Opequon
We had a wonderful time group camping at The Lodge At Opequon at Opequon Quaker Camp @ Rolling Ridge. Everyone loved the facility, nice and clean. Plenty of rooms and beds for everyone, and plenty of woods for fire to keep us warm and chilling. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and kitchen was very handy and useful. We enjoyed the outdoor, and there were plenty of other stuff offered by the campsite that we did not have time to use. Overall amazing experience and look forward to visiting again soon :)

This is a beautiful site with a comfortable lodge. We have held retreats here for several years. Every year, we see improvements as a result of the diligent work of David and his team. David and Todd are very responsive and a pleasure to work with!

Glamorous Wall Tent #1
The tent and facilities were very clean and convenient and the groundskeeper was there in a jiffy if I needed him. They did tell me many times about the risk of snakes. That had me appropriately apprehensive, being a city girl in the woods. I look forward to coming back in the spring.

The Lodge At Opequon
Our stay at The Lodge at Opequon during our retreat weekend for eight people was absolutely fantastic. The location was easy to find, and there was plenty of space for our group. One of the highlights was the outdoor fire circle. Just a short walk from the lodge is a stream with a small waterfall. We also explored the nearby Shenandoah River and had the chance to enjoy the water. Our excellent camp host, Todd, was always available to assist us. He promptly answered our questions before the trip. Will we return to The Lodge next year? Absolutely! We are already planning our retreat for next year. Thank you, Todd!

Fun “Glamping” experience
Glamorous Wall Tent #2
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The camp host, David, ensured that we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. When we arrived there was more than enough free firewood stacked under the platform to build plenty of fires in the fire pit. Inside the tent was a wood stove and bucket full of smaller wood to use in the wood stove. This was great for the slightly chiller mornings. The tent was nice and big and had a table and chairs and cots with camp mattresses and electricity. The property backed up to a nature preserve and had plenty of hiking trails. The property itself is a bit remote -which was perfect for us-but definitely recommend brining all that you need as there are no stores in the immediate area. That said Dave was very accommodating so if you did end up needing anything it wouldn’t hurt to ask him. Overall it was a nice experience. If you are looking for a simple quiet retreat to spend time in nature this is a nice place.

I loved staying in the walltent! I had a lot of fun cooking on the wood stove and the coats were comfortable. Evening were relaxing around the fire pit and all the sounds of wild life were entertaining.
