What a wonderful little place! My only regret is that I wasn't able to stay longer. I needed a little place to crash after a 16 hour drive, and this was perfect. Connie seemed like a genuinely nice person, and if I ever pass through this part of the country again I won't hesitate to book another stay.

Come stay here. It's even better looking than the pictures.
The only reason not to stay would be if you have more than two people or have trouble with walking the uneven path to the cabin. Otherwise try this place.
They have goats and plenty of land to walk around. You can fish or swim. The cabin itself is small and rustic, but perfect for two people. They provide you plenty of water and gas for heaters and grill. There's a campfire site out front and a big field out back. We saw several deer.

This was a perfect tiny cabin. It fit 2 humans and 2 dogs comfortably. It had extras like a propane heater, battery powered lights/charger, and firewood provided at the cabin that weren’t in listing, but were really nice to have. Caretaker was very helpful. I recommend calling ahead to get directions and info as cell service is limited near the site. Also the trail to the cabin was a bit rougher than expected, but the caretaker let us take an alternate route when packing up which made things much easier. Would definitely come back.

Runamuk Cabin - Lake Views
I set up this stay for my mom as a one night stay on her long drive. It was pretty last minute and Connie was fantastic at accommodating our needs! Here’s what my mom had to say about her stay:
This little rustic cabin is all about LOCATION, macro and micro! Not only are you near Fayetteville, WV, the coolest little town in the country, where rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, and hiking are top notch, this cabin is in a setting that is to die for. Gorgeous meadow and woods (with trails) surrounding, great view, and the best part is the swimming lake steps from the cabin door! So peaceful. You've got a covered porch in case it rains, a stone fire pit, and a simple kitchen and flush toilet inside the cabin. Perfect place to chill for the weekend or longer. I needed a place to sleep in the middle of a road trip, and the hosts were very kind to put me up with short notice, and waited up late for me. The whole place is very clean and well cared for and I felt very safe. It was relatively easy to find with Google maps. I can't wait to come back for longer, put up my hammock next to the lake, and hang out between river and bike adventures.
