We have 37 acres of very quiet, beautiful, and secluded forest. This land gives the camper a sense of being in the wild while still being close to some convenience stores like walmart and food lion. We are a little over an hour from places like, wisp ski resort, swallow falls state park, and the Shenandoah national park. The closest town to us is the town of romney wv. Romney is one of the first towns known to wv. It was chartered in 1762 making it one of oldest in the state. The town offers a mini train tour throughout the town exploring the many historical sites that built the towns past. Their are civil war trails as well reminding us of the disagreements this country has had in the past and the consequences of what enslaving the human race can bring about. There is also great fishing along the south branch potomac river located a couple of miles from the land. We are a quiet family of three. We love to serve the people and enjoy the company of travelers. We are building a homestead and will be offering more options to campers experience when we are more established. There will be breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all coming from food we have organically grown on the land. This is not an option we have right now, but it will be in our future. We are looking to become a travelers destination. A place where people can relax and enjoy the beauty and quite of the wv woods. So, if that is what you enjoy, there will be several camp spots on the land calling your name. We would love to have you. Reserve yourself a spot and prepare yourself for a quiet, isolated, relaxed, and a damn good time.

Isolation ridge

Tent site · Sleeps 6
This spot is located at the very top of the property. It gives the camper a feeling of being all alone in the middle of the woods. It provides good canopy cover because of the trees. Those who are sensitive to the sun would enjoy this spot. Whenever I need to clear my head, I use this spot because of its quiet environment. Spending a couple of nights at this camp will give you the rest needed for tackling those hard life problems.

Winding Creek

Tent site · Sleeps 3
This site offers a nice quiet relaxed atmosphere. It is located next to a little winding creek that flows most of the year. It dries up in the late summer months. It is right off the gravel road leading to the back of the property. It provides enough flat space for comfortable tent setup. There will also be a fire pit for those evening smore deserts we are all fond of while camping. On the left is a beautiful hill full of wild plant life making you feel like you are in the wild woods. Which you are. There are no bathrooms as of yet. But there is plenty of woods to take care of your business. However, at the front of the property, there is an old trailer with a toilet that can be used if a bucket of water is provided to flush it. We are planning outhouses in the future, but the wild woods are the toilet for now. A shovel and a good squat technique will be needed to camp. There is a spring located 2 miles from the land where we get water. It is easy to get to if fresh drinking water is needed. The spring is the cleanest in the county. It has been running since the mid 17th century. Most people in the area get their water from that spring. We have water on the land, but it has a lot of iron and sulfer in it. Good for washing and rinsing off, not good for drinking. All water consumption is done at your own risk. Overall, this spot will provide campers with a pleasant experience while they enjoy their time in the woods. Reserve it today and get your wild self prepared for a good time. P.s. we are in the woods. There are a lot of bugs of all sorts. There are snakes, spiders, and everything the woods have to offer. Bring appropriate bug protection for a better experience. It would also be good to bring a first aid kit and venom extractor just to be sure. I dont see a lot of snakes, but I have seen them. So just be aware. Enjoy your stay at little lake lodge.
