Fourth Moon Camp is uniquely located on private land located "behind" Seneca Rocks. We primarily offer tent/vehicle camping, private trails, group campsites, and "treenet" experiences; all with a much more private environment than a standard campground! You can message us ahead of time if you'd like to set up a private, guided experience, such as a hike, workshop, or adventure.

Aquarius Moon Treenet

100%
(14)
Tent site · Sleeps 4
Welcome to Aquarius Moon! Aquarius is a self-supported camping platform constructed entirely of rope. Aquarius moon is low to the ground and does not require a harness for use. You can sleep in the treenet in a variety of ways, such as directly on the net, using sleeping pads/mats with your sleeping bag, hanging hammocks from the net, or even pitching a small backpacking tent on top of the net itself! In terms of physical fitness, we highly recommend you're able to climb a ladder as well as climb onto a countertop. These are good measures of if you will feel confident through the climbing requirements of entering and navigating the net. Please reach out to us with any questions about this incredibly unique campsite! Your camp site is located on 130 acres of private property directly behind and neighboring Seneca Rocks. No trespassing is permitted on the property, so you have very little likelihood of encountering other people while being here, despite being five minutes from town. There are a handful of other camp sites on the property, which might have other campers staying at. There is NO porta potty immediately next to your site, and you are required to bring your own camping toilet. Many activities can be enjoyed on the property, with communication with us ahead of your stay. Check out our extras!

Moonshine Treenet

100%
(5)
Tent site · Sleeps 12
This is sure to be one of the most unique and memorable camping experiences you can possibly imagine! Welcome to Moonshine... A 100' tall treenet fort built from entirely rope, into an oak tree with a direct view of the East Face of Seneca Rocks. You are required to bring your own climbing harness and personal anchors/tethers, which is required during use of the treenet. You will want to make sure to bring plenty of bedding and pillows to get extra comfy on the various platforms. In terms of physical fitness, we highly recommend you're able to climb a ladder as well as climb onto a countertop. These are good measures of if you will feel confident through the climbing requirements of entering the net. PLEASE NOTE: You must arrive at least one full hour before sunset if you plan to camp in the treenet. You will receive a tutorial and overview of the accommodations prior to your stay, and this cannot be performed in the dark. Also, inclement weather that includes the possibility of thunder/lightning precludes anyone being in the treenet at that time. In the event of inclement weather, you will be offered a free rescheduling for the future OR we can provide you a standard, tent camping site during your originally requested dates. Please reach out to us with any questions about this incredibly unique campsite! The property is accessed via a state-maintained gravel road and has a small parking spot for up to two vehicles. There is NO porta potty immediately next to your site, and you are required to bring your own camping toilet. This site does NOT permit any fires of any kind.
