Fourth Moon Camp

We loved camping on Wade’s Spearmint Patch! There was so much to explore in the surrounding area and we truly felt at peace. We didn’t know how much we needed the chance to completely disconnect and slow down. Seneca Rocks was incredible and we hope to be back!

Great camping spot

Really enjoyed the the camp! Its nice and quiet back behind the rocks and not far from the main trail head to the top of seneca rocks or the stores in town. Would definitely love to come back sometime. Wade was there to meet and greet us with the firewood already stacked and ready to go. Greatly appreciated his kindness and hospitality.

Fourth Moon Camp was perfect. Nice and secluded but only a few minutes drive to a couple historic general stores with restaurants and everything you'd need. The Camp is literally right behind Seneca Rocks on a private property with amazing views. Wade was kind enough to stock us up with more than enough firewood and was super helpful prior to and during our arrival. We are already making plans to return!

Spearmint Patch was a great little spot! We stayed during the fall and the foliage was beautiful. Our pups had an awesome time being able to be off leash. But hands down, you can’t beat the proximity of this campsite from the Seneca Rocks trails. Would definitely recommend to others interested in hitting the trail during their stay. The road did have more traffic than expected, but it seems like that was just the timing due to a project being done further up the roadway.

Gorgeous site

We had a great weekend at the Creekside Hollow site- a long and rolling space with plenty of room for 4 tents to spread out and have private spaces- could easily have accommodated a couple more tents. Wade was great, very communicative and proactive. I’d advise to get all your ducks in a row before getting to the site as cell service cuts out outside of town. I will definitely be back!

The Moonshine Treenet was truly spectacular! Wade was an excellent host, giving us a thorough tour and helping us find the right spot to park, as well as helping us find a water pump at nearby Yokum's. The Treenet is really magical, it has several different layers with different places to sit, lay out, swing, or climb around and lots of great views of Seneca Rocks. We slept up at the very top which was a truly unforgettable experience!

Nice private campsite on a beautiful piece of land. We enjoyed our 2 night stay in our truck camper. Wasnt able to get out camper perfectly level at the site but got it close enough

We loved tent camping at Fourth Moon Camp. Fantastic experience from start to finish. All instructions/ directions were super clear & Wade was soo hospitable. The land itself & surrounding areas are just so beautiful. We camped here so we could hike at Dolly Sods & it was an easy drive over there. Great location.

What a wonderfully peaceful place. Aside from a few cars passing by the otherwise quiet road, I felt wonderfully solitary at the campsite. I loved that hikes through Seneca Rocks were easy to get to, just a short walk down the road, and they were absolutely gorgeous. There is no wifi/cell service, so if you need connection you'll need to stop by the diner/convenience store in town where there's free wifi in the parking lot. But do stop in and maybe take a seat on the porch! I met some of the loveliest fellow travelers and locals and got some tasty jam, too!

The yurts we had setup for our custom camping option were superb! We especially loved the sauna yurt but all three yurts were well-equipped and comfy. Highly recommend this campsite if you're staying near Seneca Rocks.

We spent a weekend at the spearmint patch. We brought a tent to camp. Lovely stream at site, great fire pit, and beautiful trails throughout the property. Very private, and Wade is available if anything is needed. He was super helpful sending exact coordinates of how to get to site, and recommendations for the area. We had an incredible time, views were amazing, and I would 100 times over recommend this site for anyone looking to have a great weekend getaway!! Thank you Wade for sharing your property, we are incredibly grateful to have had such a peaceful time in the mountains!

The campsite was nice! Really close to Yokum’s general store , which is nice because there is obviously no service so easy to get back to town . It was thunder storming so I couldn’t stay in the tree net like originally intended but he aloud me to stay in one of the yurts

Incredible Tree Camping Experience

Slackline Preserve 1

We stayed in the Moonshine Treenet site (after Wade let us switch last minute from a tent site), and this was by far the most exciting and unique camping experience we’ve had. Wade met us in town, led us to the site, and gave us a full rundown on how to safely use the net. Spending the afternoon/night far above the ground with an incredible view of Seneca Rocks and the stars was an unforgettable experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back (though I’m sure once the site is more well known, it’ll be hard to book!). We didn’t have issues with bugs/mosquitoes, but it may be worth bringing a bug net if you’re squeamish about an occasional ant or fly, and you’ll definitely want a sleeping pad & pillow.

Wade was great, so helpful, kind ans friendly. . Knowledgeable about the area. Showed us a local swimming hole which was super fun! Fixed up the campsite a bit more for us when we got there, let us choose between sites. Loved that it was basic/natural camping! Super cool that berries were growing everywhere! Would come again for sure! Note: as the area is kept natural as possible there are an abundance of ticks. Make sure you bring your chosen insect repellent.

Aquarius Moon Treenet

Beautiful campsite, great views, cute yurts, and walking range from the hikes and the river. Great place for a weekend with friends. Would suggest tubing to anyone visiting the area.

Family fun in Seneca

We had the best time on wades land! We came with our family of 6- kids ages 6-14. We planned to sleep in the treenet but there was a big storm coming in so wade so generously gave us a long tour of the treenet (soooo fun and unique with gorgeous views of Seneca rocks!) including a slack lining performance over the gorge next to the tree! The kids had a blast and wade was amazing the with kids! After our treenet experience he took us over to his yurt glamping site because of the incoming storm. the yurt site an awesome site - it has 2 fully equipped yurts with everything you could possibly need and is really beautiful and peaceful. At night the fireflies were lighting up the sky the entire night! Wade showed us where to hike up from the site to see sunrise over Seneca rocks and gave us amazing advice on what activities to do in the area (highly recommend yokums stable for horseback riding to the top of Seneca rocks!!). Overall the trip was a 10/10 for our family and wade is really a 10/10 host. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to everyone looking for amazing family fun!

A Dreamy & Special place to visit

Words cannot express how thankful to have crossed paths with Wade. He owns a very beautiful piece of land that everyone should only dream to visit and experience. From the ease of meeting him at Yokums Country store with just about all the goods you could need including a yummy restaurant to his tour over the walkie talkies as we were guided in it was a unique experience. We passed creeks, mountains, and trails for the rock climbers. His hospitality went above and beyond to make memorable experiences for our whole family. We enjoyed our fossil hike and moonshine treehouse climb. We now have a 9 year old daughter aspiring to climb. We even got lucky to have a show with Wade doing tricks on the slack line. Our short walk to the hill to have sunsets with cocktails overlooking Seneca Rocks was a perfect touch to end our days. We wish Wade the best of luck for all his visions for the land and hope to visit again one day to see what it has become.
