Surrounded by Monongahela National Forest lands and riverfront, Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground includes 35 acres of unlogged wilderness forest with roads, trails and 2100 feet of riverfront on the Dry Fork River. Grand Opening was July 4th weekend, 2022 and the camp is now open year round... although water systems are shut down around Nov. 1 thru April 15. This new camp includes 15 camping sites (firepits, slabwood benches, and ample parking), 5 primitive shelter cabin sites (10x`12 lofted barn cabins with hasp for your padlock), and a 10 short term RV sites along the river (RV's 30 foot or less recommended)... each with firepits and slabwood benches. 4 RV sites have full electric and water hook-ups, the other 6 boon-docking for 2023. The camp is situated on nearly 4 miles of wilderness riverfront on a dead end stunning road, and yet just a few miles to the beautiful town of Parsons WV in Tucker County (home of Thomas / Davis / and Canaan Valley). The Dry Fork and Black Fork Rivers combine nearby, the cable suspension bridge to Hendricks is less than half a mile downstream, the Fernow Experimental Forest is just a mile downstream, and the Monongahela national forest and huge unlogged forests are all around! Waterfalls, creeks, kayak drop points, swimming, tubing, hiking, fishing, and water recreation abounds. Bring your bikes, kayaks, tubes, roller blades, snorkels, googles and river shoes! The camp does have water spigots for general use (spring water source, not chlorinated or treated), an office cabin and electric charging access area near the office. Porta-potties in 2023 (cleaned weekly) and the beautiful town of Parsons is just 4 miles away with all conveniences, shopping and eateries. Wi-fi is also located near the office cabin -- password campground19. Book online only, self check in, check in starts at noon, designated parking spots for each campsite.

Sector A Campsites
The surrounding area is beautiful and the river access is great. The dark skies let you see everything at night. Be aware that camping sites are pretty close if you're looking for a secluded place. Porta pottie was very clean. All in all was an excellent experience.

Exceeded our expectations.
We arrived Friday afternoon. 11/3/23. We camped at the RV3 sight. I have a 32’ Cougar with Crew Cab truck and we had no trouble getting in that sight. We were the only RV that weekend. First impression was “this is nice”. After setting up we took a walk along the river. Second impression was “this is beautiful !” The mountains are directly behind you and across the river. There is a beach type area on the river that has a hammock and some tables and chairs. Looks to be an awesome place for tubing and kayaking. Scenery is very serene. Although we did not use it, they have a canopy with table chairs and free water and coffee. Second day we walked in the other direction to the walking bridge, again the scenery is beautiful. Although we came in November, the weather was still nice. Campground was very clean. The communication with camp owner was over the top. Messaged you back immediately. He Sent info regarding how to get into campground with where to turn and where not to turn. All in all we had a great weekend!! Very relaxing. I would definitely come back again.

Great spot on the river
Brooklyn Heights Riverfront campground, just outside of Parsons WV is really a neat little campground set right next to national forest. Vince, the owner, came to meet us minutes after we checked in, and made us feel comfortable. He was on site for out entire stay in case anything came up. The place is fairly new, about a year and a half, and was done up nicely to accommodate 10 RV sites and at least 6 cabins, along with a bunch of tent spots. All the spots were clean, equipped with a fire ring, and easy to get in to. The weather wasn’t great, but still the area was abundant with things to do and places to go. Parsons itself is a quaint little big town with just enough to keep you busy for a day. Cool place, great nearby hiking. Check out the hanging bridge!

Nice little place along the river! Lush trees surrounding. The town of Parsons is close by. Pick up a pizza from Mr Pizza on your way!
