4-H Camp Pioneer stands out as a unique destination due to its rich historical ties to the national 4-H organization, which began in Randolph County over a century ago. In 1915, the world’s first organized 4-H camp, known as “Camp Good Luck,” was established on a farm in southern Randolph County, just south of the current camp. This legacy continued with numerous camps throughout the county, culminating in the establishment of 4-H Camp Pioneer as the permanent site for 4-H activities in 1952. Today, 4-H Camp Pioneer serves not only as a vibrant 4-H camp but also as a versatile event center and agricultural venue. Each year, it hosts a variety of events, including the Randolph County Fair, horse shows, rodeos, and private gatherings such as weddings and reunions. The campground is conveniently located on the agricultural campus next to the Dakan Arena and Agricultural Complex. It offers essential amenities, including 30 Amp and 50 Amp electrical service, water hookups, and sewage connections. Guests can also enjoy complimentary WiFi during their stay.
