You’re looking to escape the daily grind, get outdoors, hike, and be completely surrounded by nature. You’re searching for that laid-back atmosphere where you can truly unplug—a simple, quiet place to kick back, relax, and watch the stars after a long, rewarding day of trekking across the mountaintops. At Skagit Schoolies, you’ll be staying in the middle of a peaceful forest. Take a moment to relax and listen to the soothing flow of the nearby Cascade River and the gentle rustling of leaves in the trees. As darkness falls, owls and other nocturnal creatures call out through the stillness of the night, creating a truly immersive wilderness experience. While each Schoolie offers its own unique set of amenities, they all feature a cozy, sheltered sleeping area. Please bring your own bedding, such as a sleeping bag and sleeping pad, to ensure a comfortable stay. You’ll also find convenient parking right next to your bus, along with a picnic table for your use. A portable toilet is located just a short walk away and includes a hand-washing station shared with nearby sites. Please note: • There is no potable water on-site. • There is no electricity on-site. • Guests must provide their own bedding. • Due to current state and county fire restrictions, wood fires are not permitted. Please do not burn wood for cooking or campfires. Propane fires are allowed.

Gustav Skoolie

Van/bus · Sleeps 4 · 1 bedroom · 1 bed · 1 toilet
Gustav is more solitary than the other Skoolies. If you are looking for total peace, this is the place for you. Pack your bedding! Maximum Capacity: 4 Recommended Capacity: 2 Square footage (interior): 180 Rustic level: 4/5 (very rustic) Electricity: No (a simple phone charger can be provided by request) Water: No Heat: No Toilet: Porta-Potty w/ handwash station (outside-shared with others) Picnic Table: Yes Sleeping bags and mats included: No (available for rent) Where do I sleep? There is a wooden platform where you can lay your own sleeping pad and bag; it is wider than a king size bed so you could easily sleep 3 people side by side on the platform. Vehicle access: Gustav is an adventurers location; you need a vehicle that can handle getting some brush scratches and has enough clearance to get through some rough terrain; you can probably get to Gustav without 4 wheel drive, but he’s out there a bit, so we recommend an SUV or pickup. It is worth it though, because Gustav is kind of like a hermit out there alone… he’s a pretty private schoolie compared to the other more “social” schoolies. Pick this schoolie if you want to get away from it all.
