One minute walk to salmon fishing and river swimming hole and one mile walk to stores in Morton. Laundry and simple indoor shower and toilette. We live in home on property. Please be aware that you can hear the logging trucks on 508 but you will have a visually private space. Also due to change in local ordinance not of our making, there is a 2 week maximum stay. You can let your dog run off leash in the fenced in yard and explore the woods out back although steep.

Please be aware we are along highway 508 so you may hear logging trucks but a very convenient location for exploring Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens and many of the state parks. I recommend Alder, Mayfield or Mineral Lake for kayaking and SUPS. The one minute walk to the salmon run gets too crowded but I can let you know other spots 5 minute drive. You have access to shared bathroom and laundry through the door that has "Guests" sign. During your stay you may use the covered storage building without doors pictured (for example to park ATVs/ bikes etc.) with the firewood stored on the side. Firewood is provided free up 2 "pitfulls" when local fire bans not in effect. Trash is blue lid and recycling tan lid. Wifi access info provided once booked. Note cell phone service and even satellite sirusxm is spotty once drive out away from the site- but on site it is good. Regular household electrical outlet power access through side building which also has outdoor potable water spigot (although there is heated water available from bathroom inside)

  • Review summary

    Generated from real Hipcamper reviews

Sarah's campsite offers a blend of comfort and natural beauty, with many campers appreciating the access to amenities like a shower, laundry, and a microwave. The proximity to Mt. Rainier and a charming small town adds to the appeal. Guests often describe the site as spacious and well-maintained, with a fenced yard that's perfect for pets. While most reviews are positive, one guest did feel uneasy arriving at night, finding the instructions confusing and the space a bit dusty.

    It was okay

I loved the fact that there was laundry and a bathroom to shower in. It was just weird vibes knowing I was going into someone’s home. Felt like I was breaking in or like cops were going to be called. My own fault for arriving at night, I probably would have felt better had I been there in daylight. I tried to contact the host when I arrived but they did not respond til the next day. The instructions were confusing and I was also alone so was just creeped out. Also, everything was super dusty with hair everywhere.

It was a great spot! Spacious, flat, and comfy amenities.

    Recommends

Great spot like 90 minutes from the trailheads we wanted at Rainier. Sarah was a kind and accommodating host, and having access to the bathroom, drinking water, etc was most welcome.
