First of all, the host is fantastic and very flexible. The sites are beautiful. I originally had site one reserved, but when I got there, unless it’s been raining a lot, you can’t even really see the river from the site and it’s more marsh, so the host was kind enough to let me switch to site three, which was her recommendation from the beginning. Although when I was looking at it originally, I think the pictures I saw were from site two across the river, but either way, site three is beautiful, but it is small. I have a very large tent and it barely fit with guide ropes and all that. Also, these pictures should show it, but you can’t park right next to the tent. There’s about a 10 to 15 foot incline hill that’s pretty steep. I guess if you had a small Jeep with decent rock crawling capability, you could make it down there, but you’re going to park about 30 feet from the tent up on an embankment. As you can tell, I’ve got a full-size F150 down the quiet path to the campsite, but it was kind of a pain to turn around and could cause pinstriping. I recommend backing down the path. It’s not very far maybe 200 feet. Several trees I used for a dog line, as well as hammocks, and there’s a cute little fire pit set up with some stones to sit at as a nook. It’s really nice. Gorgeous views, beautiful river, quiet, serene, wonderful host would absolutely do again.
