Camp on a luscious pasture perfectly positioned to watch the sunrise. Our family-owned farm is ideal for families or anyone who loves animals and nature. We have horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, alpacas, a pig, turkeys, geese, ducks and lots of chickens. Enjoy roasting s'mores or have a BBQ while watching the horses graze. Wake up to a busy farm and fresh eggs! About the property Within 30 minutes in various directions you’ll have access to Lake Anna, Shenandoah National Park, Preddy Creek Trail Park, and the city of Charlottesville. Nearby there’s also plenty of hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, wine tours, corn mazes, and, depending on the season, apple picking, peach picking, and strawberry picking. Onsite, enjoy a farm tour, horseback riding (for experienced riders), pony-cart rides (great for little ones), and amazing sunrises and sunsets. The property is versatile enough to host a family with kids as well as those just looking for a quiet and restful getaway from city life. Moyo Farm is a family-run labor of love. We are passionate about our more than 70+ barn pets, most of whom are rescues, and we love sharing our experience with others. Guests are encouraged to interact with all the barn animals, who tend to be very social and will love meeting you as they know it’s time for treats! Hosts will greet guests upon arrival. After that, we are around and enjoy getting to know Hipcampers but leave that to the discretion of the guests. Note that we have two campsites and are a working farm, so expect to see other people on the property during your stay. About the listing Set up your tents or park your camper van or truck in an open pasture overlooking the barn. Expect the crow of a rooster, the bray of a donkey, and other farm animal sights and sounds during your stay. You’ll have access to a private fire pit with grate, potable water, and power, should you need it. The toilet is a portable camping toilet covered by a small pop-up tent for some privacy. Please note that guests must provide their own bio disposable camping toilet bags to dispose of paper waste. This camping experience is located in both horse and wine country. Only a few short miles to visit three Presidential residences and historic Charlottesville Virginia. Luke and family are wonderful hosts that have many rescued animal’s for a wonderful close encounter experience for all ages.

This is an exceptional camping experience for children and adults that love animals and pristine countryside that’s just minutes from historic Charlottesville Virginia. The privacy of boon docking with water and electric along with the sounds roosters and many animals to pet and admire up close.

This was an incredible camping experience. Maybe the best family camping experience we’ve ever had. The land was beautiful, the animals were fun and sweet to meet, the hosts were super nice and the quiet and large site was exactly what we have been looking for!

Had a awesome time camping at family fun farm with host Luke! Very nice level site with water and electric and provided primitive toilet. If you go you need to take a tour of the farm. Our kids had a blast!

Respite from daily hustle

We chose this spot based off of its close proximity to a wedding we were attending in Orange, VA. Upon arrival, Luke met us and showed us the spots where we could set up. He assisted us with getting the electric plugged up even having an adapter that we needed to make the step down from 50 Amp plug on our motorhome. Getting to the campsites was a little bumpy driving in and out through the pasture, but our 39’ motorhome did just fine on the hard packed ground. The farm landscape is beautiful, while proving a peaceful and refreshing respite from the daily hustle. While the campsites are a fair ways from the road we could hear the occasional road noise of passing vehicles. It wasn’t a disturbance or bother to us at all. It kind of blends in to the background along with the occasional animal noises or far off train. We didn’t plan on doing the farm tour as we had other things to tend to, but given the opportunity to return in the future we would like to see all the animals. We were very pleased with our stay. We do hope to return again soon to explore Gordonsville and the surrounding area.

Such a great property. This place was oeaceful and quite and Luke and Tini were wonderful hosts. We stayed two nights and will certainly stay again! Make sure you get to visit all of the animals !!! They have great dogs, Alpakas, a chubby pig, a donkey, horses, goats....holy cow! ...Wait, we disnt see any cows 😉

Farm Friends - Highly Recommend!!

Definitely recommend! We had a great time. The views were amazing, especially the sunrise. The hosts were so friendly, greeted us with farm fresh eggs! My son absolutely loved feeding and petting the animals, they were all so gentle. We will definitely come back, our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!! Thanks for such a great experience!!

We stayed here for my daughters birthday and it was better than we could’ve hoped! My family and I are still recounting the memories made and all the beauty we got to enjoy on this land. We were able to tour the farm and meet all the animals and even got some farm fresh eggs!! Our camp site was within earshot of a highway but the white noise of the cars didn’t ruin anything about our stay, we just thought it was a tad more secluded but it was still perfect! We tent camped, had power for small cooking things and there was water available to us as well as a port o potty. 10 out of 10 rating and would absolutely stay there again!!

A GREAT site...and AWESOME host

Luke is an AWESOME host...they have an incredible site, and a bunch of loving animals. We loved our stay - quiet, and such amazing sunrise across the meadow. W will stay again for sure when we come through this part of the country. It's close enough to Charlottesville and to sites of interest that you are not traveling for ever just to get somewhere.

Relaxing and serene

We had a wonderful stay. Luke and his family are very communicative and accommodating. The directions and check in were seamless. He was awaiting our arrival. The land itself is quiet and peaceful and the animals are all very sweet. They even gave us farm fresh eggs and veggies. We would highly recommend this listing. We tow a 28 foot travel trailer and it was easy to maneuver into our spot. He also has electrical plug in for 30w and water.

Luke and his family were amazing. Very kind brought us fresh eggs and tomatoes from his garden. Even helped me out of a bind when our trucks battery died and needed a jump-start. Very nice, spacious, peaceful, and not far from Charlottesville and Skyline drive. The farm was very clean, animals were very friendly, and well kept. I will definitely visit again to bring my grandchildren and enjoy another peaceful visit! Definitely a great getaway!!!!

Luke and his family went way above and beyond to make our stay special! We felt right at home and our kids loved feeding all of the animals and playing with their kids. The property is beautiful and perfect for our RV (electric and water hook up). Definitely our favorite Hipcamp site so far and we will be back!

Best spot ever. Luke and family were absolutely amazing. The farm is beautiful and quiet and filled with the most friendly animals. Perfect stay all around. Tons of room. They have power, it’s level and the views are amazing. The best spot in Virginia, only 30 min from Shenandoah
