Pull-Thru FHU
Overall wonderful site and amazing amenities - pool, fitness center, 2 pickleball courts. They have a lot of rules regarding what kind of RVs and how many cars and dogs can be brought in and how sites can be set up, which I think keeps the place looking great. Check with them before coming to make sure you meet requirements. Unfortunately we are a bit out of norm and required a 20V plug to get our AC going and it was very hot. Something was wrong with the 20V outlet at the location they gave us and several others we tried. We arrived a bit after hours and unfortunately the after hours number rang aimlessly for over an hour and multiple messages. They told us the number had been routed to the wrong person who was not on call, thankfully that person came to our rescue and helped us find a spot that was working. By that time our battery had drained and needed to recharge overnight.... we actually ended up leaving back to Houston that night and coming back next day. We had a good time, although my man, who was already not happy about night before, complained about the arguably heavy number of bugs in the pool Sunday ruining his enjoyment. It didnt really bother me, but he felt like it had something to do with the pump not being turned on, as it had been clear when he swam the day before. Overall, I think we just had a bir of bad luck but I know I will definitely return! And who doesnt love free coffee in the morning?

Luxury Done Right!

We booked this reservation last minute not knowing what to expect. We were the first ones to book this RV resort through hipcamp. We were overwhelmed with the scenic views as well as all the amenities(including valet trash). Laundry is through a user friendly app. Multiple very clean bathrooms with huge showers. Wifi is excellent through out the entire resort. The staff were very attentive and full of smiles. They are cows that come out to pasture for a tiny bit then disappear. Make sure you stop to use the hot tub! The resort is next to a highway but otherwise it didn't bother us. We stayed comfortably at the XL Pull-Thru site with our 43 ft 5th wheel(firepit and wood provided) Quiet hrs 10-7am(pin quiet) Downtown is eight minutes away. Try the coffee at Mescalito Coffee. Thank you to The Hilltop staff for a wonderful time!
