Our best Hipcamp experience!!
This is hands down the best Hipcamp we've found.
The owners were great—super responsive and genuinely friendly folks with an amazing dog that came by to visit. :)
We stayed in the Mack treehouse at the top and also had the Goodnight for a night. Both are really well designed with incredible pastoral views, especially from the elevated Mack. The treehouse sitting area was our favorite spot—perfect for hanging out as a family while enjoying the outdoors but still having the comfort of being inside.
The property is huge and perfect for family walks. We loved exploring the grounds and taking in the peaceful landscape.
Heads up on a few things: Construction from Austin is pretty heavy right now, so add some extra drive time if you're coming from the east. The beds are very firm—just something to be mindful of depending on what you're used to. Hot water pressure is low, which makes sense for a sustainable setup out here.
The amenities room is awesome—stocked with ice, books, games, cornhole, and good local info. You can tell the owners put real thought into it.
The stargazing is unreal. Thanks to the Dark Sky initiative, the night sky out here is some of the best we've ever seen.
All in all, the peaceful setting and attention to detail make this a place we'll be coming back to. Can't recommend it enough!
