We had a super cozy and relaxing stay! The bathhouse was actually really nice and the heater in it could get it toasty in there (it got pretty cold at night when we went). The cabin was warm too of course, I just didn't expect to spend so much time in a bathroom while camping (there is a huge claw foot tub in there that was too tempting for us). There was a surprise in the middle of the campsite when we got there, a gazebo just got added which was a really cool bonus since we got to be the first to take it for a spin. It was super windy so unfortunately a campfire was out of the question (this was a problem for anyone out camping so what can you do). Luckily the gazebo that Joey & Cindy added had a pretty wind proof gas powered fire to sit around in it so that saved the day. There is also a grill so we were able to still cook no problem too of course.
We definitely recommend staying!

Joey and Cindy recently set up a gazebo! It has a mini table fire, cushioned seats, and a large speaker. It was very comforting to use for warmth, especially since we went during a really windy time. Cindy and Joey were very sweet and informative and gave us tips for our 3 day trip. The claw tub is also massive and perfect for showering and bathing. This was a very peaceful and cozy getaway!

The Fireman's Bunker
Our hosts were so friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The grounds were lovely and our kids found something neat around every corner. There were so many amenities and you could tell that the hosts had thought out and anticipated every need guests might have. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this lovely place will exceed your expectations. Cindy was so welcoming, Thoughtful and Kind. It is apparent that she loves what she does and infused every little corner of her cabins and land with attention to details and care. The site’s charm and magic is palpable. I had the chance to stay in the Victorian Cabin, it was so cute and cozy and really takes you back in time with that amazingly well chosen decor. The bed was super comfy, lots of pillows and warm blankets. The cabin was equipped with a mini fridge, a heater, a television, multiple power outlets and great wifi.
The whole site is kept very clean and very well maintained and there is everything you need and more. In the common area is a fully equipped kitchen in the Tea room cabin, with tea and coffee and when I went, there was strawberry pie and snacks. There is a laundry room, with the loveliest vintage bathroom Ive ever seen next door, with hot water, a heater towels, body wash, Shampoo and more.
My only regret is I had to get on the road again on the very next day and could only stay one night but I cannot wait to be back sometime soon!
I absolutely loved my experience and would recomend 100%

This is an unique place to be with an inviting garden to relax. Cindy is a very welcoming host that makes you feel at home right away. We had everything we needed for an affordable price.

Really cozy place place with a vintage vibe. We stayed in the Fireman’s Cabin and the theming was spot on and made us feel like we were up in the mountains. Joey and Cindy were both wonderful hosts and were available for any needs we had.
There are two separate buildings, one with a very nice bathroom and laundry room and the other being the Tea Room with various items for sale as well as a full Kitchen to cook. The price was extremely good along with the campground feel it made for an excellent home base for our vacation.
Next time we are in Tyler we will definitely be giving these two a call. Thanks again for having us!!!

LOVED OUR STAY HERE!! Loved the relaxed vibe and all the decorations. It was like I would see something new each time I looked back. Cindy and Joey are such cool folks and The bathroom was nice and clean. Our cabin was the Fireman’s bunker and it was so clean and the AC was so cold!! My mother in law is older and access to the place was easy for her to get around. The Tea room is so cute and sweet. We just really enjoyed being here for a night on our trip back home.. was a nice pit stop. Definitely recommend!!

Cute little room filled with antique furniture. The shared bathroom is beautiful. Though the hosts were out of town for our visit Cindy reached out and let me know what to expect. They left us champagne in the mini fridge for our anniversary as well. It was a lovely stay.

We loved the stay at Joey/Cindy’s place. The fireman bunker got a theme inside with 4 bunk beds which takes 4 adults comfortably with dining table, smart tv, great wifi,ac, heater, small refrigerator to keep your food. It’s actually giving you an army bunker feel with no outside lights which I liked and our dog enjoyed every bit of stay.
A separate shared cabin for bathroom with bathtub, tankless water heater, room heater, toilet, double wash basin, soaps, sanitizers, hand wash, shampoos, body wash and it’s very clean. Coffee/tea bar with keurig pods, microwave and laundry room options.
Another separate cabin for kitchen use with stove, sink, snack bar, utensils. Refrigerator, ice etc. This was very useful and neat
We enjoyed hospitality from the host, they are very friendly and assisted us setting up the fire pit. We would recommend this place for short or long stay! Will be planning another time here

We loved the cabin. It was very clean, in a very nice area. The guests were very kind all the time. The bathroom cabin was also very neat and warm (we were there in late November).

This was a really fun location. The rooms were all different and decorated with cool stuff. The bathroom had a huge clawfoot tub in it with any kind of soap or bath salts you want and big fluffy towels. Much better than a 4-star hotel I just stayed in. The hosts were very friendly, give good directions and the cabin was clean and ready when I got there. It was a wonderful area outside to sit and have a fire. Or just relax on the porch or any of the chairs. Has a nice little laundry, coffee area and they really neat dining room and kitchen. They have lots of snack stuff for sale. I would highly recommend this to anyone and it's a way better value than any of the hotels in the area.

What a wonderful surprise! Inviting, cozy, clean and accommodating, this is one of the best HipCamp sites I’ve been to! The host, Cindy was extremely sweet and informative. Where the camp is is convient and gorgeous. We’re planning to bring a few friends next time being that there are multiple cabins, a full kitchen/dining cabin and a nice fire pit/outdoor chill spot. We can’t wait to visit again!

Super worth it. We arrived pretty late and the host had the fire setup ready for us which was really nice. The heater was on in the room, so it was nice and toasty when we got there. The themed room was really cool, my girlfriend enjoyed every little detail. 10/10.

My partner and I loved spending time in Cindy’s Victorian cabin. It was a very unique setup, and different then anything we’ve tried before. The area is beautiful, fairly secluded, and quiet. Cindy was very kind and generous. Everything you could need is there. It’s a shared space between three cabins, including a shared kitchen and bathroom. However, this did not present as much of a hassle as I thought it would originally. It’s a very very short walk, and Cindy does a great job of making sure the heaters are on in those communal spaces (it was very cold outside!). It’s clean and always kept up with. The fire pit was a HUUUGE bonus. Logs go for $6 each or $15 for 3, which I felt like was a decent deal. Very quiet at night time, and tv in the cabin was a plus. Thank you so much Cindy! You made a 5th year anniversary for me and my partner memorable. Couldn’t thank you enough.

Our stay at the bunker was a delight. The accommodations are generous and well thought out. Comfortable beds, plenty of outdoor spaces to relax, and many thoughtful touches made us feel right at home. We plan to return and spend more time.

Cindy was such a great host. She showed us around the cabins and made us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay in the Victorian cabin. It was like stepping back in time, except for the modern A/C of course ;) We look forward to trying out one of the other themed cabins during our next stay in East Texas!

What a wonderful space, enjoyable center space, bathroom area was spot on and perfect, kitchen was great! And every spare thing needed was there. Forsure the retreat that was greatly needed. Was not expecting all twin beds, especially with fireman things being such a little person draw, drawing families and pets.
