Great site. GPS location is spot on, just look for the gate and blue porta-a-potty. I drive an Honda Odyssey and had no problem negotiating the road. It's peaceful and quiet.

We were in the so called “RV site” with a small picnic table and fire ring on a slightly sloped hillside with incredible views of Guadalupe Mountain, as well as beauty in every direction. Yes, I would come back again, but I would not come in an RV because you might get stuck on the way up here. In a truck camper, it was great, and we used our levelers to have a more horizontal sleeping experience. It was not windy, luckily. Wes’ written directions were pretty much spot on, because the Google maps link was accurate for the location but was inaccurate as to how to get there. This was my first experience with Hip camping and it was a good one!

Wonderful!
Absolutely incredible camping spot! Easy to find and good communication with host. Arguably way better views than the campsites inside the park. The rustic bathroom service provided, a shovel and a stool, and while not for everyone, we absolutely loved the views while doing our daily dootie. We strongly recommend this site.

Unfortunately we did not end up staying here. But I would still like to share that the communication was great! I was not worried at all about finding the site or anything. Hopefully we will have the chance to stay here on a future trip! Booking was easy and quick!
