Welcome to the Larson Homestead! Our 13.5 acres has a lovely view of the pasture, creek, and surrounding farms. We have pet goats, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, and kittens! Depending on when you come you could witness baby chicks hatching or baby goats being born or bottled. The goats are super friendly and love to be petted or fed. You can wander around the pasture and creek during your stay. There are many RV spots with the power along with a pool! Firewood is available on site. We reserve the right to prohibit fires if we feel it’s too dry or windy. A picnic shelter is available to use for assistance if extra bedding or space is needed. The picnic shelter is equipped with a loft along with refrigeration, stove, oven, microwave, soon, shower, and a toilet. Next to the picnic shelter is a large area to have a bonfire where you can grill food or just relax around and enjoy the scenery! Along with your stay, we provide being big boards and bags for your entertainment along with a stereo for music. If your family is traveling with four wheelers or dirt bikes we have a large area to explore along with a man-made track that is on the edge of the yard. We are located 11 miles north off of interstate 90. We are 15 miles from Sioux Falls And 6 miles from Garretson (where you have the opportunity to visit Devils Gulch, Split Rock Park, or Palisades State Park!) We have a large area for children to run and play including three different places in the sandbox. Our animals would love to meet you!

The hospitality was fantastic. They made our first time using HipCamp easy. They answered all my questions ahead of time. Ryan was very polite and talked with us and gave us tips and recommendations about the area throughout our stay. We stayed 3 nights.

Huge Cabin!

Just here for an overnight, but cool property! Clean space. Literally anything you would need, Ryan has. Sleeping accommodations inside the cabin are minimal, bring your own linens. This spot would be awesome for a big group! Fun farm animals all around, way out in the country.

Beautiful multi-generation working family farm. This is a warm welcome place to enjoy a few days and have everything you need. Quiet. Beautiful. A really nice family is farming & raising cattle. They are the 3rd (I think) generation of farmers. This would be the perfect place to get a couple of friends together to camp and use their lodge. Close to Sioux Falls for sightseeing. Plenty of room to spread out & relax here. They have a full kitchen in their lodge. Camp sites are mostly shaded. Big fire pit to use. Just a really neat place.

Great hospitality, my son loved seeing the cows and animals on the farm. We grilled out with their smoker, had tons of fun. Highly recommend!

Really unique spot to stay the night. Our hosts were available if we needed anything. We came in late so we didn't see much of our surroundings, but I woke up to a rooster walking past our door, and seeing chickens and cows. It was a great morning. We did not use the campfire, but there was firewood available.

We were looking last minute for a place to spend the night while it was raining and found this cabin. As soon as we walked in we realized this was far better than pictures led us to believe. The bottom floor is so open and makes you want to have a group of friends over to hang out. The spiral staircase to the loft brings out the kid-like fun of climbing into a secret fort. The decorations on the inside are eclectic to say the least, ranging from antiques to light up aliens and we couldn't have loved it more. If this isn't enough, there is a covered patio just outside with string lights, more than you would need seating and an amazing fire pit. There is no cell service here but with the fun you have, you won't even notice. We will definitely be planning another stay here in the future.
