The Nason Trust is a 4th generation owned outdoor enthusiasts haven tucked away on private land in the outskirts of the Allegheny National Forest. We offer primitive camping along with equestrian primitive camping. We have a dedication to preserving natural habitat, as well as the cooperative efforts of people with diverse interests in the outdoors to provide a positive recreational experience for all of our visitors. The Nason Trust is located by a significant amount of trail systems that traverses gorgeous, rocky, stream-filled trails that pass by remnants of Kellettville's boomtown. While guests get to enjoy the geology, elevation changes, with dramatic views while enjoying their favorite outdoor activities. Campers will have access to the North Country National Scenic Trail that is the longest in the national trail system it spans across 8 states from North Dakota to Vermont covering 4,800 miles. Minister Creek Trail is a short drive away. It's a moderately challenging hike that passes several outstanding rock outcroppings. After your hike you can drop by frog rock the local's favorite swimming hole that's along the same short drive back from Minister Creek trail back to the Nason Trust. Tionesta Creek and Salmon Creek are well stocked to lure in any avid fishermen. Along with another local gem; Ross Run's Habitat Improvement area it's a half mile set aside for Children 15 and under and people with Special needs giving them their very own special stocked fishing area.

We had a difficult time finding the spot because it was a narrow uneven trail. We were immediately greeted by the hosts and they were extremely friendly and helpful, they let us know of a tavern that was nearby and there was a lot of trails to ride. We drove around the property looking for level ground but couldn’t find any, the property is on a slight slope, we leveled the camper the best we could but never accomplished being level. We were the only guests there for the weekend so it was very roomy and we were allowed to let our 3 dogs to run around off leash. There was a picnic table, fire rind and a portable potty.

Tara and her family are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The view of the surrounding mountains is beautiful. We'll definitely be back!

Dark Skies and wonderful hosts!

Wonderful property and very accommodating hosts! Property is under the second darkest sky on the eastern coast of the US and it showed brilliantly! Very visibly Milky Way and Jupiter, Saturn were easily seen with the naked eye. Area was quiet, peaceful, and perfectly dark. Highly recommended.

Beautiful field, nice level areas to tent or park your trailer. Lots of room to corral your horses or nice shady tree line to highline them. Tara was a spectacular host!

I just have to share how amazing our camping experience was on Tara and Conrad's land. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and Tara and Conrad were incredibly hospitable and kind. It was a fantastic experience and we are already planning a return visit. Having never been to this part of the state before, I think it is important to mention that I felt very safe and comfortable here. You can find more information on the Nason Trust property on Facebook and their website. Tara and Conrad are the type of people you want go back for another visit and to share a campfire with. Every once and a while you strike gold with a Hipcamp site and this is a fantastic experience because of the hosts and their land. Bonus: They also have the cleanest porta-potty I have ever experienced!

My son and I really enjoyed camping on Tara and Conrad's land. We had not visited this part of PA before and didn't know what to expect. Tara and Conrad greeted us upon arrival and could not have been kinder! Their land is absolutely beautiful. There is a ton of room (as in acres!). We felt very welcomed, very comfortable, and very safe. The property is pristine, and the cleanest porta-potty I have ever experienced was available for our use. We took advantage of Tionesta Creek just down the hill to cool off and get water to filter. We want to return and attribute that to Tara and Conrad's hospitality. Being the 4th generation property owners, you couldn't ask for more informed and vested hosts. It was a treat to be able to experience this privately owned slice of heaven.

Tara was really great with communicating throughout the entire process. The Nasons were so welcoming. They checked in after I settled, helped me get set up for a fire, and were great to talk to. You can tell they care about your stay. I will absolutely be visiting again when I'm back in the area.
