It’s a nice spot, with a lot of shade in the early morning and afternoon. I will definitely recommend group camp to other campers in the future. This is a nice getaway from the city. We get to see several wild animals. Our kids and friends had a wonderful time together! Thank you!

I realize I booked late Friday night for Saturday but fresh grass cut not the best, left lots of loose clippings was extra bugs. The picnic table isn't in the best shape. I was fine with no electric water..etc. Dealt with train noises. Picture of nice gravel was misleading. Saw another site there was nicer. Has potential to be a good spot of some care is taken. Price is a bit high for conditions. Did enjoy the stay. #2

#5 Rustic river front campsite
Easy check in and check out process.
We were blessed to be the only campers in the campground 4th of July weekend so it was very private and peaceful.
The campsite directly on the river was nice. We were able to put the kayaks in and out of the water right at our campsite.
We were unaware that we were right next to the railroad tracks so the train whistles throughout the evening did keep us up a bit.
We would have liked to have had a little bit of music and some small fireworks but they are both prohibited at the campground. There were a ton of fireworks throughout the evening, all around the camp, and I mean a ton of fireworks, including m-80s and m100s and I think even m1000s, where they made you jump out of your skin.
This is a primitive campground with a couple of outhouses about 50 yards away.
All in all we made the best of our weekend and had a great time.
I would stay here again.

Great location. Easy checkin / checkout. Beautiful view. Perfect spot for camping after a float.
Sites were a little overgrow. We found poison ivy in dozens of places throughout the actual campsites. 2night minimum stay for river front sites seemed counterintuitive.

Bridge to campsite was not open

The bridge to Layton was out. Thus we were not able to access Hazelbakers from the GAP trail. Instead we had to bike another 10 miles to camp at the Blue canoe. Hoping to get a refund. Is that is the car then I'm glad to amend my review, as stuff happens.

I loved camping on this sight! Perfect spot on the water! Good area! The people are friendly to us and the Porta John was clean! Great fishing spot!

Nice site with easy access. Had the whole campground to ourselves which was wonderful. Can see the river right through the other campsite. It was perfect instead of driving home after kayaking at Hazelbakers. The only bad thing was most of the site was covered in poison ivy so we moved to a different one after checking to see if they were booked.

We had a great time hammocking at site #6. Site was pretty much as described. Just be aware, it is not very private or secluded. Another site is just across the stone lane, and if there is a family camping there at the same time, you will be hearing them, including their normal conversations. Actually someone at that site would have to very quiet not to be heard at all. And driving on the stone lane, you can see into each campsite. So if you are going for complete privacy and quiet, good chance you wont get it here. However, we still had a great time and were able to relax and enjoy our stay. Wood chip area was nice for our tent. Fire ring was small. Heard a train nearby once or twice.

Loved this spot right on the river - spent the days paddleboarding! Fire pit and table on-site were nice amenities. Sites were well spaced.

Didn't know the bridge was shut down. Which causes a drive of a extra half of a hour to get there. Woke up to construction noise.

This site was very nice with a great view of the river. There's enough space between the other sites to give you some privacy while camping.

This was a great site with a beautiful view of the river. I wish the directions were a bit more specific, though. The porta potties needed maintenanced as they are shared with canoers. I’m hoping they were just caught off guard with business. We loved everything else about the site, though. Very quiet and serene.

Its a nice place just needs kept up better. The grass was long, weeds were insanely overgrown. Also we were not aware of the train tracks that run 75 yard away from the site with a dozen trains or more coming through everyday, which made sleeping sort of difficult. Its a nice place but too pricy for what it is in my opinion. If be a buyer again at $10 a night but for $30 i would have to pass if i find myself in the area again.

Easy in/out, no contact camp. Bummed about the nearby train running multiple times a night with horn blaring. Would have liked to know about that in advance. Also, the camp site and fire pit were slightly overgrown so there were tons of bugs. Didn't seem like anyone had used this particular site in a while, but there were campers at other sites on the property further down.

Beautiful place, lovely trees and river. Very open space. It had rained the night before so was a bit muddy, but no problem for us. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves, so not sure how it would be with someone at #6, it seemed a bit close to #7. Also, I think there was a shooting range close by because we heard gun shots off and on from the time we got there till 4pm. But after that very peaceful.
