It was adequately nice. Fairly clean. Outhouse is on the lower rating of an outhouse. It is beautiful country.

The site was closer to the road than we expected. The strangest part was the outhouse didn’t have a hole dug underneath it. In my experience they typically have a deep hole under the “toilet”. This was just sitting on regular ground. We didn’t end up spending the night. An incident out of our control happened with our dog that required a vet visit.

Not really secluded. Location is literally right off the road which is across the street from a baseball field and pavalion. The people over there throw a large drunken party with a bonfire and multiple cars coming and going. They at least stopped at about 10pm. But there is no fence between the properties. The stream was low, maybe lack of rain. So we didn’t fish. We only spent one night there. If your pet is not use to being close and controlled off leash, I wouldn’t recommend them being off leash. The road is really close. The sight is functional, there is an open parking spot next to the trees, a bench for sitting, a fire ring for a bonfire, and the nighttime natural noise was actually peaceful.

Sounds of the creek all night were lovely. I loved the calls of screech owls and frogs. The small ball park across the road was surprisingly quiet during the few hours of use. The lights during that time were not obtrusive (and I love pitch darkness). The site had virtually zero litter or signs of ignorant camping (other than stuff carved on trees).
Best practice outhouse placement should be on the opposite side of the church away from the creek’s edge!!!! I practiced ‘pack it in, pack it out’ with my puppy’s poop and mine as well.
I would stay here again. That said, for having no potable water, and no paths other than by the creek) nor mowed grounds, I believe it’s a little overpriced.

The campsite is amazing! It's quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The creek access cannot be beat. Aaron is very kind and responsive. I'd camp here again in a heartbeat! Also a great place to take pets, there is a (pretty low traffic) road nearby to be mindful of if your pets aren't used to off leash. My only big tip for other travelers is to keep an eye out for poison ivy, it's around but easily identified by the 3 leaves, and only in the brush. The campsite itself was spotless both of litter and any brush. I especially enjoyed "the bar"!

Not private but good river for dogs
Pretty little stream spot. Unfortunately it’s on a road with cars going by every few minutes. Making eye contact with people driving by is not my idea of camping. I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping at the site, basically camping on the side of a road, so I enjoyed the spot for an afternoon and ended up getting a hotel near by. There was also a pair of boxers and a few other gross things caught on rocks in the stream so I didn’t really want to swim in it. My dog had a blast in the stream which was a silver lining. I really wanted to like it but it just didn’t make the cut! Bummed I spent $$ on this

A few quirks but a great location

This location is in a gorgeous area with rolling hills and only a few minutes from the highway that runs along the Susquehanna. It's right off the road and most of it is visible to drivers, so I wouldn't say it's very secluded. That said though, no one bothered us during our 4 day stay! There is also a security camera on the church directly facing the campsite, and I couldn't find that anywhere in the listing after the fact. The location right on the stream is great and we got to see so much wildlife, including a huge crane that would do its nightly fishing in front of us. Firepit worked great and there were two sturdy benches. Only other qualm was the state of the bathroom compared to the photo posted of it. Needs some attention, that's all. A great stay overall.

Back for round 2! and enjoyed it even more than the first time, locals are extremely friendly and with a population of 900 you really can not ask for more when camping. very safe area that has a home feel to it, I strongly suggest giving this place a go! there is a small community grocery store 2 minutes up the road that has ice, and gas, the fishing here is excellent! even with 90+ degree weather and low water, i was able to spot multiple holdover keystone trout under the bridge 100ft from the campsite, that the liverpool sportsmans club privately stock! be sure to ask questions to passing locals, i'm sure they will be happy to see you and answer your questions.
ps. please pick up trash and keep the river the way it should be

This escape was beautiful, secluded and convenient. There is a restaurant snd bar that is about a 1/8 mile walk away. A beautiful stream and fun country setting. The fire pit cooked fantastic food.. Highly recommend !!!

We had the best time camping here! The property is gorgeous, and the drive up to it is really spectacular. It felt very private and secluded, but close to great hiking and activities nearby. We loved hiking Hawk Rock in Duncannon, lunch at Skeeter's Pit BBQ in Shamokin, and the Shikellamy State Park overlook in Northumberland. The stream was very pretty, and we saw a bald eagle over the campsite the first day. Highly recommend this spot to any hipcampers!

Great little camping spot. Nice place to get away enjoy a brook and a campfire with the family. Could hear turkeys gobbling while we were there.

it was a remote feeling location, low traffic area, nice to get away from the mass, however i would strongly urge against using the outhouse right next to the creek that falls straight on the top soil. save the water!

Overall we enjoy the time there. Unfortunately, I feel the place needs a bit more privacy since is close to the road. I also feel it needs maintenance. The grass was tall, the branches of the trees in the fishing spots were in the way. The restroom state needs to be work on. Is a beautiful creek. The presence of the church and cemetery gives it character. Lot’s of potencial, just need some love.

The family had an absolutely fabulous time camping on Aaron’s land. We found the large, level site to be clean and accommodating to our small pop up camper and tent crew. Keira, my 14yr old daughter was very appreciative of the Wi-Fi access. Cannoli and Dolce, our two welsh corgis, loved swimming in the creek and exploring the sites and smells of the surrounding area. Aaron was more than a gracious host and we look forward to staying again in the near future.

Property was amazing! Booking was simple and straightforward. Access was simple. Nothing complicated. Plenty of space to park and good solid ground to park on. Campsite was beautiful and spacious. The stream was wide and flowing. Was refreshing to bathe in it in the morning. Super private and secluded. No one near by. Space to yourself without worrying about the neighbors. We had 14 people there. Could have easily had more. There is an old small church and cemetery on the property. The site is to the side so you can totally not notice it is there. Some may find it eerie, others will think it adds to the spooky camp out vibe. Totally didn’t bother us. Hardly noticed it was there. All in all it was an awesome night and an awesome site! Thank you Aaron!
