Site 6 - Canoe Creek Camping
Steve was super welcoming and helpful. He checked in on me once I arrived and let me know how to contact him at anytime if I needed anything. The directions he provided to get to the site were easy to follow. The site was quiet and peaceful. It made for a good place to camp overnight and just enjoy nature.

Site 5 - Canoe Creek Camping
Steve’s property is beautiful! We booked it last minute as a place to set up tents for the night as part of a 24-hour birding fundraiser, because we wanted to be in biking distance to Canoe Creek State Park. Steve responded within minutes of booking with clear directions and an invitation to choose any of the sites we wanted. He stopped by that evening to say hi and make sure we didn’t need anything, and offered for us to call him if anything came up! Meanwhile, the birding from the campsite was unexpected and excellent! Highlights among the 40 species we observed during our few short hours there include a Golden Eagle soaring off the mountain knob above, night flight calls of a Black-crowned Night Heron, and singing Scarlet Tanagers, Indigo Buntings, Hooded Warblers, and the ever-magical fluting of multiple Wood Thrushes. All-in-all it was just what we needed for the night, and well worth the late pedal up Huntington Pike Road in the dark to get back to camp for a few hours of shut eye (and a distant “who cooks for you all” of a Barred Owl!)

Overall good place to stay, however there is no campground signs near the road and on the field. Firerings are also not marked so its impossible to find the correct site.

Beautiful land with mowed trails for walking and exploring. Steve was a great host. Steve met us when we arrived and gave us some firewood for our stay. We had a great experience and do recommend.

Beautiful lake views & spacious

Site 4 - Canoe Creek Camping
The sites are perched in a high open field overlooking a beautiful lake a couple hundred feet below. There are plenty of trails on the property that open to picturesque views of the lake. I only spent one night, but it would be an excellent multiday group camping destination, with plenty of space at each camping spot, plus a fire ring.

Fall Foliage in a peaceful setting

Canoe Creek Camping
We had a wonderful visit on Steve's property. We were able to nestle in our small camper surrounded by gorgeous trees. The area was very private and the stars were incredible. Steve was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and incredibly welcoming. He'll make sure you have everything you need. We will definitely stay again if we get the chance.

Canoe Creek Camping
Was looking for a short overnight father daughter camping trip, where we were not right up next to a bunch of other campers. This place was just what we were looking for closeby several areas to fish as well. Steve was very helpful provided directions via a PDF and was helpful during the whole trip definitely worth checking out if your looking for a smaller campsite in the area
