Four secluded campsites along Bear Creek in the Poconos, feature spacious safari tents with queen bunk beds, covered dining area, a deck to set up an additional 6 person pop up tent. In addition we have “Check Point Shed” where campers can borrow gear. Drive into your campsite immediately you will hear the sounds of a babbling creek, by giant rhododendrons under magnificent hemlocks and oaks - a truly natural and relaxing experience. Campers can enjoy a short hike to our private waterfall with swimming hole or lay in a hammock by the creek. The sites are surrounded by 400 acres of privately owned natural forest with several miles of marked trails. The campsite is adjoined by Lehigh Gorge State Park and PA state game lands. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended for hiking. Just minutes away there are outdoor adventures galore: white water rafting, kayaking, biking on rail to trails bike paths, skirmish paint ball, Glen Onoko Falls and Hickory Run state parks. The mountaintop entertainment venue Penns Peak and the historic town of Jim Thorpe are just 15 minutes from the campsite. Jim Thorpe has many fine eatery’s, shops, the Lehigh Gorge Railway and Asa Packer mansion

Bear Creek Hideaway in the Poconos
Happy camping!
Our family had a wonderful experience! The property itself was absolutely beautiful, and the campsite was perfect! Scott was such a welcoming host, and helped to make our stay a memorable one. Our site was right along the creek, which added some extra serenity to our getaway. We highly recommend the swimming hole, and to take some time out to walk through the trails, you won't regret it! Looking forward to returning.

Bear Creek Falls Getaway
Great 1st camping experience!
Great experience and host! We just got back and for a 1st time camping experience it was awesome. The place itself is very lush and the creek that runs through it with the waterfalls and grotto (albeit cold water!) were fantastic. Scott was very friendly and graciously allowed me to charge my Tesla at his charging station. We would definitely recommend. One thing to watch for is that the actual campgrounds and the paths and main road is very gravelly, so you’ll definitely need good trekking shoes. To help folks with getting to their cabins, would recommend to Scott to maybe put some steps in on the path b/c the slopes on the paths can lead to falls due to the gravel. The cabins and tents themselves were great. All in all, great experience and we’d come back.

A Creek Runs Through It, Poconos
Truly Special Camping Experience
Absolutely wonderful. Spent two nights at “A Creek Runs Through It” and haven’t slept that well in ages! Scott has created such a special place in a beautiful landscape. The campsite is perfectly situated along the creek- hike, swim, relax all within feet of the tent. We felt so welcome and well equipped with anything we could need. Would highly recommend Scott’s campsites to anyone wanting the ultimate camping experience.

A Creek Runs Through It, Poconos
Perfect Family Camping Property
Our family loved the property along with all of the amenities provided. While we did bring most things we needed, we found it wasn’t necessary as the campsites were fully stocked except our bedding. The proximity to the creek provided great background sound all day long and we loved sleeping to the sound. The watering hole and waterfalls were absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t believe this was all available for us to explore and play in. Scott and Christina were perfect hosts and we loved chatting with them. We will definitely be visiting again and can’t wait to tell all our friends about it.
