The site is large and private which is great. Overall, we enjoyed our night's stay. A bit pricey once the Hipcamp fees are involved, but I can empathize that hosts probably wouldn't want to bother maintaining things if it's not profitable. Host was quick to reply.
A few things about the site:
- there are not too many flat spaces, lots of slopes
- there was a BBQ, firepit/wood and a picnic table. We only used the fire pit, not the rest.
- the lot itself was well mowed, however the path to the kayaks and dock are very much overgrown and flooded (we've had a lot of rain this year, can't really control that). We decided to trudge through regardless, but just fyi if you're looking for more of a well manicured lot
- the kayaks/paddles are of low quality, but they float
- the outhouse was fine, toilet paper was stocked, just don't expect much

Overall we had a good experience.
Pros:
- Huge area! Great for large groups.
- A propane BBQ on site that included a full tank! It's just a small two burner BBQ, but it worked for what we needed.
- There's an outhouse on site.
- Plenty of firewood was provided.
- Private
- Kayaks available for use
- Close to town
Cons:
- The grass was incredibly long with potholes everywhere. Not a great combo at night. Fortunately we had solar lamps and glow sticks to mark the deep potholes.
- Access to the water wasn't great. Only two small paths that lead you to the water. Both pretty narrow and overgrown by the bushes on either side. One path had wood planks that led to a tiny dock. The other path looked like it had a larger dock, but the pathway was too marshy to access.
It's a great spot if you want to get away from the city.

This was a great campsite, nice trees, beautiful location. We had a group of 10 and just got to relax and enjoy. The local beach is close by which is a nice beach to swim at. The kayaks were also great and we played with those. Very happy with this site.
The only downside was the outhouse. It was not swept out at all so lots of critters in it and toilet paper shredded inside. We brought our own toilet paper so it was okay.
We had a refreshing and relaxing stay overall, but a few details made it a bit of a mixed bag.
The Good Stuff
Great Privacy: The site is huge with rolling hills and surrounded by trees. We felt completely private and even spotted deer, rabbits, and a groundhog.
Generous Host: Scott let us check in early and hauled away our trash at the end so we did not have to pack it in our car.
Solid Setup: Plenty of firewood supplied to easily last three days, a functional outhouse, and a propane BBQ on site.
Convenient Location: Only 3 to 5 minutes away from local grocery stores and restaurants.
What Could Be Better
Overgrown Path: The trail to the water was choked with six-foot grass. We could not reach the deck or kayak ramp, and the brush made us worry about ticks.
Water Setup: I booked expecting on-site water. A day before the trip, I was directed to the Westport Welcome Centre instead. Note for future campers: bring a one-dollar coin to get 46-48 liters from the tap.
Noise: You can hear constant road traffic in the background. There was also Friday construction noise from a house going up near the entrance.
Outhouse Tip: A plastic scoop for the wood shavings would be great.
All in all, a good trip, but better path maintenance and comms would make this site top tier.
Great spot to camp for a night. Secluded and well maintained!

We had a great stay. Eventhough we booked last minute, Scott made sure the lawn was mowed for us. We didn’t use the BBQ because we had alternate food plans but it’s a great perk. It is a very large site (which my dog loved) but also very private. Great location close to Westport.
Everything was perfect ! The site, the water, the place. Thanks for everything!

This is a great spot, well kept and tons of room. The outhouse is such a bonus. Lot's of firewood with a good pit and picnic table. The BBQ is another bonus with propane, works well. Very Private, no neighbors.
We were greeted by a Fox out for dinner when we first arrived that was awesome.
We did not use the kayaks, pretty sure we would have ended up wet, we'll save that adventure for the warmer months of summer. Thanks Scott for sharing your land. We enjoyed it all.

We loved a tent camping on Scott's land. The quiet, perfect spot for stargazing was exactly what we needed. We also absolutely loved and appreciated the delicious farm products—they were a real treat!

My family and I had an amazing experience at Scott's campsite. We had no issues getting our 17ft trailer in. We were hoping for a secluded campsite and that's exactly what we got. No one in site and was so peaceful. Absolutely beautiful spot. Came with a BBQ and Propane! As well as kayaks and life jackets. Outhouse was clean and came with toilet paper. Campfire came with firewood and Scott even offered to bring us more if we ran out! So close to the town of westport (2 min drive) which has everything you need if you run out of anything, as well as a beauotful spot to walk around. We are already looking forward to camping there again next year!

We loved our stay at Scott’s. Clear communication with directions, very private. Also Scott was kind enough to surprise us with the use of his 2 kayaks for the evening. Would definitely recommend!
I like the fact that the site is only a 6 minute drive into town.
It’s very large, private and tranquil.
There are deer around as well as an active eagles nest visible from the waterside.
There is a path to the water where you can put in a canoe or kayak.
Scott the host is friendly and helpful.

Overall we liked the place. It was big and spacious.
Although we would like the description to be more precise.
For example it was mentioned that it's a good place for water activities there is no direct access to water.
Also there was no picnic table or trash bins on the site. It would be nice to know all the details in advance.
