Andrea’s Chicken Church was an absolute DREAM!! We really enjoyed getting to genuinely relax and unplug from the busyness of life!! The space was so eclectic and you could see and feel the love poured into this space! The wood burning stove that heats the space was fairly easy to use and felt sooo good!! We would 100% stay here again!

The vibe of this cabin is exactly what’s needed when in Asheville! The beautifully curated cabin offers peace and comfort beyond necessary. Andrea was great and gave me a run down upon arrival. The ease of getting into downtown was a huge perk. I’ll be back soon!!

My fiancé and I loved the studio! it was quiet, cozy, and a short driving distance to downtown and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I loved waking up with the sun and seeing the horses first thing in the morning while sipping my coffee. Then coming back at night to a sky dazzled with stars. Truly a one of a kind spot, 10000/10 recommend💚🌌

What a jewel in the Asheville and Black Mountain area! Andrea and her Hipcamp are worth checking out. Enjoyed her relaxing space in the mornings and evenings as my son and I explored the hiking in adjacent towns. Conveniently located, yet isolated enough to get away. She has creatively taken a large space and sectioned it off with hanging doors and windows that provides adequate interior separation and relaxation. Cozy and beautiful. I recommend and hope to return.

This place is truly one-of-a-kind. Tucked into the valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the property feels peaceful and secluded but is still close enough to Asheville for easy trips into town. The studio itself is rustic and full of character—clearly a labor of love built from years of collecting unique materials. Every corner has a story.
Our host was amazing, friendly and communicative. If you’re looking for a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path place with tons of character and a true connection to nature, this is it. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to unplug and soak up the charm of the mountains. I hope to stay here again and can't wait to go back.

Andrea's art studio was incredible! Such a lovely place with ample space, supplies for cooking, and sleeping 5 people. We loved getting to see the horses and were enchanted with the neighborhood.
Even with the devastating storm, Andrea was so helpful, informative, and generous to help us feel comfortable and stay nourished.

Creative space with host that's friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Note that the location of the studio may not be as private as some other places, but its proximity to town makes up for this. Plus you get horses and chickens and a sweet dog for company! The outdoor shower is in the shade and so it could be warmer, but that also means more privacy. The indoor loo is definitely a plus, as is the wood stove for heat and the very comfortable mattress. The indoor string lights are a charming option and provide nice ambiance when the brighter lights are off. We would absolutely stay at Andrea's again.

What a fun, comfortable, lovely place to stay in the beautiful mountains outside Asheville! Andrea is a gracious host and so are the chickens. :) The shower is outdoors but was very fine and warm. The wood burning stove is easy to use and the bedding was warm even with low 40s temps outside. I plan on returning!

Really enjoyed our time in Andrea's art studio. The main bed was super comfy and warm, and the kitchen was well-equipped enough for us to make all our meals there. (We were intrigued by the wood stove but ended up cooking on the electric range and electric oven/air fryer combo.) Overnight temps got quite cold (upper 20s/low 30s) for being springtime, but we kept the fire going until we went to bed and the place retained enough heat for us to be fine in the morning. You're at the very end of a road up the side of a ridge, so it feels safe, secure and serene, and Andrea is a great hostess. It was too cold to use the outdoor shower, unfortunately, and I'm not sure it was even set up, but we got showers at the nearby YMCA.

We loved staying at Andrea’s cute little art studio/cabin. She was so welcoming and gave us some great recommendations for places to check out in Asheville as well as a lesson on how to use the awesome wooden burning stove in the cabin. It was so incredible to get to wake up with such a beautiful view and see chickens and horses outside our window! I would definitely recommend !

I loved staying in the studio! It was so peaceful and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked, there were some books on the shelf to read, plenty of comfortable spaces. Really neat decorative items and creative ways used to separate different areas of the space. It was all around a wonderful stay and great for having slow, calm moments to yourself.

The chicken church is so fun and funky! We loved every minute of our stay. Theres no better way to wind down the night than sitting by the roaring fire. With DT Asheville only 10 mins away, the location is perfect. Would love to stay again if we return to Asheville.

The place was just as expected, clean and cabin like. We had the stove fired up every night and slept to a cool comfy night with down comforters and an artsy atmosphere. It was so casual and relaxing. The shower is outside and was "Green Acres" like. Lots of wood available, water pitcher for drinking, hot water in the kitchen area, not in the bathroom. Also hat water in the outdoor shower. If adventurous this is the place. So close to Biltmore and Asheville with lots of great restaurants and beautiful mountains.
There was nothing I didn't like about it. Andrea is very helpful and gives you your privacy, can't wait to go back.

I had a great time at the chicken church. It’s such a unique space, full of things to look at. It was the peaceful space I needed to recuperate after a rough couple of months. I particularly loved the stocked kitchen and steamy outdoor shower. Great place and looking forward to staying again!

I’ve been privileged enough to travel quite a bit in my life, and of all the places I’ve stayed, this has got to be my favorite. Andrea is kind, warm, spacious and has clearly poured a lot of love into her land and home spaces. Chicken Church is an abode for anyone-it’s rustic but elegant with perfect lighting, cozy beds and a delightful kitchen. The outdoor shower is the perfect place to rinse off after hiking nearby or if you just want a little reset. Nestled under a wise walnut tree, it shelters from the sun and gives a private feel to the shower. I have nothing bad to say about this place, seriously. Quite at night, super safe, there’s a cute dog, horses and chickens, and Andrea is just about the best host you could ask for. She’s super responsive to questions o and offers great suggestions for things to do around Asheville. When I come back to Asheville, I’ll absolutely stay here again.

This listing is an Appalachian oasis! You feel like you are out in the midst of the wilderness (with all the amenities) all while in close proximity to Asheville and the extended area beyond.
The space itself is a treat. The host is an artist, and every detail inside the studio and out has been intentionally crafted. Bed space is ample (with extra blankets!) and the kitchen is fully stocked with spices, oils, and all the cutlery and cookware you would need. There were even farm fresh eggs waiting for me inside, laid by the hens just up the hill from the Studio! There is no electric heat in the studio - heat is provided by a beautiful wood fire stove, with woodfire and kindling provided by Andrea. I didn't find I needed it for my stay in early April, but I would come prepared knowing how to work one anytime between fall to early spring.
Outside the property, there is a big pond that borders the beginning of Andrea's land, with a sweet bench that looks out over the water. Two ponies were grazing in one of the pastures when I arrived, and I got to see Andrea move them over to graze in another field. They stopped by the studio to say hello and munch on some grass!
Andrea is inviting without being imposing. She made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy the space, then let me be. Do know that this is a working homestead, and you will most likely see Andrea or both of her pups running around outside if you hang out at the studio :) Would love to come back!
