7 acre homestead our family has been working on for about 2 years. It was kind of abandoned for a while before then so we've been rehabbing, cleaning up, planting with fruit trees and starting to grow food this year. We're located at the end of our road and back into a 350+ acre forest backyard. We've seen many animals come through, nature is awesome and resilient. We love living here and hope you'll enjoy staying here.Secluded campsite on a 24' x 24' wood deck next to a pond, perfect for a cozy fire under the stars. Features an outhouse with compost toilet, hot water outdoor shower, kitchenette. While quite private, the site is near our quiet neighbor’s house. Enjoy incredible hiking right from your campsite—just a 30-minute trek up to The Bald, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Asheville and the entire valley. 9 acre property borders 350 acres of forest land. This is site where there used to be a Yurt, it was recently removed and campers can pitch a tent on the large deck or around it or park to camp. We're still cleaning up downed trees from the hurricane that remain near site. Please forgive the mess... this take a minute.

Hike up to "The Bald"experience

We're located at the base of Spivey Mountain, near an old spot up on a bald spot of the mountain. You can see the Asheville valley, downtown, the highways, Biltmore Estate, etc. Very nice picnic spot to enjoy the panoramic views, take some great pictures and get a better appreciation of where you are located. Duration: 1-2 hours. The hike up is easy to moderate on a non-maintained logging road on the neighboring forested land. You should wear good shoes, jeans or heavy pants (potential thorns and poison ivy).
