The E-volving Hearts Wellness Farm is 14 acres of mostly wooded land in Old Fort, NC. Just a short drive to Black Mountain and approximately a 30 minute drive to Asheville. Here at the farm we provide a sanctuary setting for humans and animals and provide Equine Facilitated Wellness with our two mini rescue horses. We are offering our small, semi private (we and two other tenants live on the property), primitive campsite area to the public this fall in order to generate income to support our mini horses in their continued rehabilitation process. While you are simply renting the campsite, if you desire to participate in some Equine Facilitated Wellness I'd be grateful to discuss adding this to your stay. The campsite is a small tent area carved into the woods near the front of the property and is next to our cleared pasture area and Ceremonial Grounds. It is a short walk from the outhouse and while there is no running water, we will happily fill up jugs. While the property is 14 acres, due to the private dwellings, any private wellness sessions that might be happening on the property, and the fact that we have not recovered our trails after Hurricane Helene, we will ask that you limit your activity to the space provided. Please note that we have many roosters who enjoy celebrating the coming of the morning light! We also have the friendly, mostly free-ranging "Bird Herd". There are coyotes that hunt in the fields around us and bring their celebrations at night and we aren't sure if Little Bear has moved along or not. Overall, this is a great place for those who want more privacy than a campground but don't want to haul yourself deep into the wilderness. You are safe and secure on the property but do know that wildlife is all around. We welcome those who are quiet, peaceful, with an open mind and open heart who are willing and able to honor this sanctuary. We cannot have dogs on the property. PLEASE DO NOT ASK. This isn't about your dog, this is about ours. We welcome quiet folks who are able and willing to respect boundaries and come with an open heart and open mind.

Kelli was receptive to my needs and made themselves available anytime I had a question. The camp was equiped with everything I needed. Great place to escape the the hustle and bustle of the city. Just a few miles from Catawba Falls. Highly recommend

Private site in a beautiful and convenient location. The site had everything you need and Kelli was very responsive. Recomend packing ear plugs as the wildlife can be quite noisy.

Private and scenic campsite

Kelli was very attentive to any questions we had. Their were twin beds in the tent, the site on the listing shows that the cooking area is under a tin roof but that is not accurate. Aside from that, the camp site was great, instead of a tin roof there was a tarp roof over the propane stove. The site was very scenic and private; This site is great to just have a fire and hang out. Overall i enjoyed my stay here.

Great sanctuary, despite stormy weather, dry kindling was waiting and firewood plentiful, drinking water was provided along with a huge tent. Even tiki torches. Very peaceful place, kind owner, lovely area - highly recommended!

Kelli was wonderful. She was very hands-off and after our initial meet we didn't see her again! The set-up was incredibly nice. They had a tent already set up for us! And there were some supplies and guides that really helped us out. I will say that you can sort of see their house from our location and you can see their car driving off so it's not entirely private, but other than that it was perfect. There was barely any light pollution which made seeing the stars at night great if you can find a spot with no tree coverage!

It was great, we had never been camping before. They provided us with everything we needed. There was an outhouse, a trail, and gardens. Kelli informed us she knew alot about wildlife, so if you're a beginner it's a great place to go. I wish had more energy to explore.

It was SUCH a treat to camp at this lovely site. Your hosts have thought of all the details – from the provided tent already set up to camp cookware, local trail guides, a stocked fire pit and more. You'll find the campsite tucked away on Kelli's property, up past some rolling fields and surrounded by trees with a feeling of total privacy. Just feet from the tent spot is a shaded area with an amazing wooden table for all sorts of meal prepping, plus a "dining" table (adorned with freshly-picked flowers!), fire pit area and wash basin. This is truly an "off-the-grid" getaway just 30 minutes outside of Asheville - the perfect place to get away from it all! (Though you may pick up spots of service here and there). If you're looking for a peaceful night in the woods with great hospitality - and probably a visit or two from their super sweet pup - then this is definitely the right place :)
