A lovely scenic & private campsite!
Preston was a very helpful, responsive and friendly host! We arrived later than expected and it started getting dark as soon as we began to set up camp, so Preston turned on his Jeep flood lights for us and he even helped us set up a tent that was seemingly broken. I booked the main campground for a 3 day weekend trip with two of my girlfriends to get away from the city and this campsite exceeded our expectations. We were thrilled that WiFi was not available at the site, but if you walk 10-15 min up a hill you can get service, which made it the perfect place to disconnect from your devices. The bathroom and shower was conveniently located. We enjoyed the water views, wine berries, star gazing, and the scenic hike to and from the campsite. Hearing the wildlife in the evening only made us feel more connected to nature/the outdoors, and we never felt unsafe in any way. There’s a small town about a 10 min drive away with everything you could need (cafes, thrift shop, walmart, etc.), and a state park with a lake for swimming nearby. This is the kind of camp experience that you’ll want to savor and I truly feel like 3 days was not enough. My friends and I have already started talking about coming back and staying for at least a few extra days next time. Thanks for everything, Preston :).
