Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses is a small 100% Australian owned artisan dairy business. Family owned and operated, we run the 100+ head dairy herd which will supply the A grade quality milk for the gourmet cheeses.  The Dairy farm is located in the Burringbar Valley, just north of Byron Bay. Burringbar is situated at the entranceway to the Tweed which is also known as the Heartland of Australia's Green Cauldron. The sub-tropical climate allows for lush pasture to be grown all year round. Our pasture based grazing system means you taste the freshness in the milk which flows into the flavours of the local territory in the artisan cheeses. Aside from our 4th generation dairy farm and artisan cheese factorym, we also run a licensed cafe. No tents - RVs/caravans and camper trailers only. We offer several grassy sites on our property, situated in the lush green pastures of the Tweed Valley. We have a retail outlet onsite. Come and order a coffee, cheese platter, wine and local products to enjoy at your site! We're a great place for those travellers looking for a convenient stopover, in a beautiful setting, with nice additional touches.  We're close to National Parks, Murwillumbah Arts Precinct, Margaret Olley Art Gallery and Husk Distillery and just 20 mins drive to access the coast from Kingscliff to Byron Bay. We have a toilet on site. Your well-behaved pets welcome too but must be kept on a lead.

Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses
The location was perfect for us and our van, 15 minutes from beaches yet provided us with a quiet rural setting with a flat grassy area overlooking the dairy pastures and hills behind. Setting up at the end of each day with a camp fire and cows for neighbours. Peter and his family were warm and inviting hosts.

Great location with flat parking. Very accommodating hosts and the shop has some great buys. Could use this as a base to explore from. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks Peter!

Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses
We had a great time staying at tweed valley cheeses. We parked Caravan just behind the cafe. Toilet available. Spent an afternoon enjoying a cheese board and wine at the cheesery and then walked back to the Caravan had a bonfire. We Would definitely go back and visit again had a great time. Peter and sue where really friendly and great to chat to :) Something to note is the camp sites are next to paddock with all the calves that has electric fences. We had our 2year old son with us and he was fine just had to keep an eye on him. And remind him not to touch the fence. He loved watching all the cows 🐄

Misleading and dangerous!!!!
Very misleading and very dangerous! My one year old was shocked by the electric fence and the campsite is actually in a busy car park behind the cafe/cheese shop. Needless to say we left the site within 30 minutes of arriving and WOULD NOT recommend this hipcamp to anyone, especially someone with kids. The ad states this is a costal property with creeks and swimming. This is absolutely false. The sites are on a small strip of long grass under a power pole with a transformer next to electric fences on two sides and a car park on the other. With 2 adults, 2 kids and fees we paid $60 a night. Total rip-off and completely unsafe. The site listing needs a massive makeover or should be taken down for false advertising and endangerment.
