Welcome to Dodona - ancient Greek meaning "God's Gift". Here you can camp by a permanent flowing creek in our beautiful green valley. Sites are accessible by all types of vehicles such as RVs, caravans, motorhomes, big rigs, camper trailers or basic tent camping. Campfires are permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood is available at $15 per bag and bonus inclusion of a lovely swimming pool and BBQ area! Shower & toilet available. There is 350 km of dirt trails in the very large Orara State Forest behind our property which is great for mountain bike riding, or horse riding (no horse riding permitted on the property). Pet friendly. Stay with a local, friendly host.

Richard is an amazing human who welcomes all to share his beautiful property. I wanted time out, relax, unwind, peace & tranquillity. That's exactly what i got. The skies at night where not hindered by light pollution, the silence was not broken by traffic noise. Richard is a wonderful soul that loves to share not only his home but stories of a remarkable life. Also extremely respectful of your space and time. I highly recommend Richards property to anyone, with any type of camping style. My stay was cut short unfortunately but I will be returning.

I went camping at this place, and it was absolutely lovely. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The host, Richard, is a genuinely kind and helpful person. He went out of his way to assist us and made sure we were comfortable in every possible way. The place itself is stunning and feels like a perfect escape, yet it’s not too far from the city, which makes it very convenient. I truly enjoyed my stay and felt very welcomed throughout. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Definitely worth visiting.

Beautiful little area in the mountains, lots of green grass to chose from with a few nice spots under the trees. Ric was very welcoming and opened up his home to us, warm showers and a toilet and washing machine to use if needed.

Site 1 - Dodona By the Pool - Site 3
Pretty much everyting was a standout. We stayed for 1 week and opted for a powered site near the inground pool. Beautiful quiet spot surrounded by beautiful trees, shrubs snd bird songs. Richard was an amazing host. He kindly let us use his washing machine to do a load of washing. Large sheltered area by the pool with table, chairs and a BBQ. The campfire was a real joy to sit around and cook baked spuds over coals. Would 100% recommend a stay here. We plan on coming back again. Well done Richard.

Richard was so friendly and helpful. He set up the fire pit for us which was quite fun to have. The area was nice and cosy. I used the hammock next to the pool in the morning and felt that I can have another 8 hrs of sleep zzzz. Will come back in the furniture!

Richard was a friendly and generous host . He had a swimming pool which was great for the kids and a great bit of land for us to camp on. Outdoor shower and use of toilet was a bonus. Definitely will be back to visit.

Had a wonderful stay at Dodona. The place is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Facilities were well maintained, and the atmosphere was very relaxing—perfect for a break from city life. Staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who loves camping and nature.

Richard was a superb host, very accommodating, friendly and kind! His property is well kept and we had all the freedom in the world to choose where to park our van. Communication was great and we felt super welcomed, he even left us food and drinks for breakfast! Overall it was a good stay, just two small notes: unfortunately, we weren't able to use the pool as the water was being treated with chemicals; the amenities would need a bit more love as humidity is taking a hold on the walls. Everything else was great!

Staying with Richard was a wonderful experience for us and the children. Richard is a wonderfully warm person who makes you feel right at home. A beautiful property, surrounded by nature. A barbecue with wood is available, as are bathroom facilities, electricity, and water. There's even a swimming pool for the kids. We recommend staying with Richard to everyone.

Richard's farm is a massive piece of land and we were allowed to pick any spot. Richard is a gracious host who proved all the necessities for the travelers - fresh water and power. There is plenty of wood on site and Richard can lend you an axe if you feel up to it. Bring some carrots and apples to feed the neighbours horses - kids will love it. The site itself is reasonably leveled and we had no issues in parking our motorhome. Overall our stay was fun and enjoyable.

This is a beautiful property - Richard is lovely and made sure I felt welcome to come into the house for warmth, to make tea, etc. I absolutely recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful camp out, with a friendly and helpful host.

Dodona was the most magical experience. We have just had a winter retreat and from the glorious maples in fiery red to the running creek singing in the night to the abundance of delicious fruit trees this stay was hands down the best we’ve had. Richard is a charming and knowledgeable host only too happy to accommodate anyone and anything. Could not be happier and we are always planning our next visit. Your stay with Richard goes towards a wonderful charity too, make sure you ask about the great things charity:water are doing!
