Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Beautiful escape. Right on the river, great fishing. I loved watching the cows and hearing all the sounds of nature. Very relaxing spot and would definitely be going back.

We will most certainly be back to this spot. The campsite itself was wonderful—quiet and peaceful. Our first night was especially serene with just us, and the second night was still enjoyable with only two other groups. However, I do have some feedback, not for the campsite but for fellow campers: please be mindful of personal space. Despite there being a kilometre of river-front to choose from, one group set up camp right between us and the first group (with their door facing into our camp!) Perhaps they were afraid of the dark 🙄

Good spot but for tent camping wouldn't recommend, dirty/ smelly drop toilet and dogs barking all night made negative experience.

This place was beyond sensational! From the atmosphere to the crisp air to the animals around you making you feel like you’re truely out in nature. 10/10! Wayne was a very welcoming host and gave us pointers on what to do around the site for activities etc. We also paid for firewood which was provided very generously and lasted us 2 nights. I highly recommend Wayne and his beautiful farm to camp at especially for first timers like myself ! Thanks Wayne !
