⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cypress Bluff Campsite is a hidden gem and one of the most peaceful places we’ve camped. Tucked away on the Mescalero Apache Reservation, it offers the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. The camp host lives just up the hill, so help is nearby if you need anything, but the nearest neighboring homes are miles away, giving you a true sense of privacy and solitude.
The site is rustic yet thoughtfully equipped with water, a fire pit, and firewood available, making it easy to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Wildlife is plentiful, and Cloudcroft and Lincoln National Forest are just around the corner, with excellent hiking and endless opportunities to explore.
The biggest surprise was the night sky. With almost no light pollution, the stars were absolutely breathtaking. The Milky Way was brilliantly visible, making this an unforgettable destination for anyone who loves astronomy or simply appreciates a spectacular night sky.
If you’re looking for a quiet mountain getaway with an exceptional host, beautiful surroundings, and some of the best stargazing you’ll ever experience, Cypress Bluff Campsite earns every bit of its five-star rating. We’ll definitely be back.
