Fun place to camp. The host and the alpacas were all very nice. Quiet with views of the valley. No issues with parking/access. Gift shop with nice souvenirs.

Once in a lifetime experience!
Alpacas are cute and friendly, my kids had a blast playing and feeding them! There are other animals, nice and funny too. If I knew it was such an amazing place I would’ve stayed for a couple of more days, but I couldn’t make and amendments to our road trip journey!
Stacy is lovely, she can answer many questions about her farm. I will go back for sure!

What a wonderful setting and a great experience! We loved walking with the alpacas and feeding them in their pen. Sites were very close together but it didn't matter with the mountains and views that abound. Would definitely camp there again!

Spacious, mostly flat, beautiful views. Plenty of room to navigate a 30” trailer and find a spot not too close to anyone. The alpacas and other animals were so amazing and friendly. Our kids are already asking when we can go back! Can get a little windy in the evening (Mid June).

We had a great experience at this camp! Stacey is a great host, and the animals were fun to be around. It was shocking how nice the property was given how close it is to Reno. We truly felt that we were in a secluded, remote place. It was great, and I would highly recommend it!

This is a lovely area to stay. We really enjoyed having the alpaca and donkey wondering close to our camp. The location was easily accessible and stay was definitely a favorite.

We were excited to stay at Old Lyfe Alpaca Farm based on the photos, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t match expectations. There were no picnic tables as shown, and the space was overcrowded—tents and RVs packed closely together with no room for kids to play or relax. We ordered several add-ons (breakfast, honey, shower bag), but none were delivered and only a partial refund was offered. For the price and lack of amenities, this was a huge letdown. Would not recommend.

We spent an amazing few days visiting with all of the animals on the farm. We were lucky enough to see a newborn alpaca, and visit with the caretakers. It was a lovely time.

We were impressed and enamored with the Alpaca farm. First it was the farmer lifestyle of the hosts opening their working farm. Not only were the cute Alpacas worth seeing, but the quail, chickens and doneky. But the other hipcampers enjoying the farm and the views of the Washoe Valley. Love, loved it.

Heavily congested with people and vehicles so close to each other. We were supposed to stay two nights but left within 24h. They need clearly marked out patches with site numbers. The hosts were nice. No real personal orientation to the potable water. Water access needed simplification since it took 2 to operate it. On a positive note the scenery was stunning and the alpacas and other animals were so beautiful to see. This is a working farm, please keep this in mind. There were 3 other guests that simply left near their arrival or next morning like us. Suggestions: limit the number of to cordoned off sites to limit the congestion. Wanted to make a go of it but…..

I loved the alpacas, the views, and the helpful staff! The tent was well adorned and cozy. Also, it was a very busy night at the campground, we were surrounded by other groups, including two camper vans that blocked our view from the tent. It wasn’t the peaceful setting I anticipated, but we still had a nice time.

Such a fun and unique place to camp! I really enjoyed the animals - I recommend bringing carrots to befriend the donkey :) The setting is beautiful and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that it gets pretty hot in the summer and there’s very little shade, so plan accordingly - if I go back in the future I’ll bring a portable shade canopy. But aside from that everything was awesome!

I so enjoyed the friendly and curious alpacas and llamas! There are beautiful animals everywhere, including the wild ones. I saw a yellow-headed Blackbird which is a first for me and bullfrogs the size of platters that make a low humming sound. It was very fun feeding the farm animals. I would definitely recommend and come back here again!!

I was in after dark and out at sunrise but comms with the host were very helpful and friendly. The facilities were great and the site is in a beautiful location. Definitely recommend if you're round this way.

We had such a wonderful time camping at the alpaca farm! The animals roam freely and are incredibly friendly—especially if you have snacks in hand. It’s the perfect place if you’re in need of some furry, four-legged therapy.
The host was warm and welcoming, giving us a tour and sharing so much knowledge about the animals and the farm. The property itself is absolutely stunning—a true working farm with beautiful views in every direction.
One thing to note: the farm is located in a valley, so it can get quite windy. During our stay, campfires weren’t allowed due to weather conditions, which is totally understandable. There are only two communal firepits available, but they’re first come, first served. If you’re planning to cook, I recommend bringing a propane cooktop just in case.
Overall, it was a peaceful, refreshing experience—I’d absolutely recommend it to any animal lover or nature enthusiast!
