PLEASE NOTE: VanGoBoon is a campground, not a RV Park! Much like a NFS campsites but close to town, with easy access off Hwy 90. There's water on the property available in several areas of the campground. Some sites have water at the site. Otherwise we are considered a "dry" campground. Welcome to our campground! We are a "Roadside" Campground that offers the convince of easy on/off access to Hwy 90 and the close proximity to Bozeman. We are adjacent to Hwy 90 and the Montana Rail System. We have a variety of options that should suit just about anyone. We are near Yellowstone National Park as well as Bozeman, MT which offers all types of recreational opportunities e.g. hiking, fishing, climbing, skiing, cycling and running trails. VanGoBoon is the perfect "Pull-in for the Night" as well as week-long stays! Most of our sites are SELF-CONTAINED. We have 4 sites that have electric and water hookups. (20,30,50amp) The lawn area has horseshoes, frisbee golf, and corn toss. We mostly offer dry campsites for overnight stays for vans, tents or RVs . Most sites are on concrete slabs so they are level and the property has grass areas with trees as well. FYI: Great site if you like trains! An important part of Montana’s commerce is transportation by rail so there will be highway and train noise. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to have noise-cancelation devices handy. Private spots between trees but near freeway for easy access. Our 2 horses have been a favorite with young campers along with the open yet private campsites! We look forward to welcoming you!

Enjoy a Peaceful & Convenient Stay

We were searching for a quiet, peaceful, yet convenient spot in Bozeman as we moved from Yellowstone to Glacier National Park. VanGoBoon campground far surpassed our expectations. We stayed at one of the electric sites but honestly didn't need to hook up because the weather in early June was perfectly cool enough to open the windows and enjoy the mountain breeze. The spotless bathhouse was well-equipped and a nice upgrade from the ones at Yellowstone campgrounds. The free Wi-Fi was very fast and allowed us to stream a few videos without any lag. Beautiful spruce trees provided just enough shade to make for a relaxing time, whether sitting at the picnic table or setting up our lawn chairs on the concrete pad. We enjoyed watching the friendly horses and cute ground squirrels play in the neighboring field. Being so close to Bozeman meant we handled all the necessary errands before heading to Glacier. Bozeman has a laundromat, grocery stores, drug stores, an RV wash, a Maverick gas station, Walmart, and even a Costco. Some review comments mentioned nearby train noise, but that was absolutely not a bother and easily solved by sleeping with earplugs—something any well-prepared camper should have handy. We highly recommend VanGoBoon for anyone looking for a restful and convenient place to stay while in Bozeman.

Ive been on the road now 8 days and have hipcamped 6 of them....I camped at national Park for the other two. Ive been greeted by the host of every other site and at the very least been welcomed with a response to my messages and correspondence via the hipcamp messenger. Nothing but crickets from this sites host.

Great location close to town. Very well organized, clean site. Quiet, except the train goes by from time to time, but it makes it charmy and romantic. The only negative thing I can find is a lack of internet and phone connection.

The campground looked as if it was being improved by adding water and a shower house. It was very nice and clean. Hopefully electricity will also be added. It was very convenient to I90 but that being said, it was so close that there was traffic noise. And very loud trains. Obviously those things are beyond the host’s control but maybe a mention of the road and train would be nice. In case someone was looking for a quiet more secluded camp.

A nice set up! Restroom was very clean and there's a solar shower as well. Located near the interstate and railroad which didn't bother me. After dark it quiets down. Dan the owner is a nice man who has made a great stop for travelers to feel at home. 5 stars.

This a great place for just stopping by on your way somewhere in Montana. It is neat and tidy with a super clean port-a-potty. There is considerable noise from the highway and the train line. But we loved it and had a great night’s sleep!!

My family and I are so happy we found this gem of a camp ground. The grounds are extremely clean even the porta potty smelled good ( thats what my son said). The bathroom was spotless also. They have corn hole, horse shoes, and disk golf. We come from a loud/busy city so the traffic amd train really didn't bother us.. the cement pad was so nice when it came to parking our camper. Even the picnic tables were in great shape! Waking up in the morning surrounded by the mountains and greeted by 2 beautiful horses is a great way to wake up. We loved this site so much we booked the next 3 weekends to go up and enjoy the site again.

The place was nice. Fortunately I'm a heavy sleeper. If you aren't just know that there is a train track nearby where trains cross a road. Which means they use their horn often. Otherwise no complaints.

Nice little camp site outside of Bozeman. A bit of a struggle to find off the i90 but once you're on the right side you'll find it. Electric and water hook up but no sewage disposal, so be advised. Fairly close to train tracks that can be noise at times.

Ehhhh. Its sufficient for your needs if parking off the freeway in a relatively safe area without rest stop lights or semi trucks idling nearby fits your "needs". There's a decent amount of space between the pads/sites but there's zero privacy. Obv that's not required but it would be nice to have some plantings at least between the sites and not-barbed wire/fencing where the dogs do their business. Freeway noise was tolerable for sure, with ear plugs, and the pad was flat. Getting to the place was easy and quick. Stop here for your evening rest during a roadtrip.

We had a great stay in our RV for one night. We had one of the site with water & electric hookups. This camp ground is easy access from the highway. We only heard the train once, otherwise it was quite, peaceful, & beautiful. I would recommend a little longer stay, maybe 2-3 nights.

Not for tents. Too many trains. Very loud whistle all night long. It is a clean place and a nice place but the sound is an issue for people in tents. It is functional. The place was clean. The place was well done. I know that they cannot control the sound.

This is a great little camp ground! All the sites are level and well-kept. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another couple of nights at the end of our trip. It is very close to the university and downtown, so location is mostly amazing. A caveat, however. The campground is very close to a highway and a busy train track. The highway quiets down pretty well in the night, but the trains not only roll through, they blow the whistle a lot. We got used to it, but it is certainly a consideration.

This campground was perfect to stay for a weekend while we attended a wedding in the Bridger area. Spacious, well-kept, comfortable and easy to find. The porta potty on-site was clean and the host was accommodating and friendly.

Everything was perfect. Brand new flushing toilets and a beautiful bathroom and showers, as we were regaled by a few friendly horses in the pasture just next to us. Gina and Dan were excellent hosts!

This is my 3rd time here and I'll be back. Simple clean facility, nice restroom, Starlink internet, some sites have water and electricity. Watch the horses while relaxing outside. This is not a destination campground with pool and playground, etc. It is a truly a hidden gem!
