Welcome to The Ridge Ranch LLC, a 10 acre Campground short term vacation rental adjacent to The Huckleberry Ridge Conservation Area, located 3 miles from where Little Sugar & Big Sugar Creek converge to form Elk River. We have 2 short term vacation rental cabin listings & are finishing out a 4 bed 2 bath Ranch House, available May 1. In addition we offer primitive camping for your whole group, a campground w/ 4 RV sites including 30/50 amp electric/water sites and a dump station + access to our 6 person luxury hot tub 🙌

Your host, Melissa, developed the entire property and lives onsite in a primitive cabin. She is a fourth generation settler and lifelong resident of McDonald County with a love for local history and natural resources. Melissa also owns and operates Sugar Creek Kayak, a seasonal kayak rental and shuttle service on Indian Creek, Little and Big Sugar Creeks as well as Elk River. We were there a total for 15 minutes and left due to personal reasons. Host Melissa was a ball of joy however, this is not the place to camp. You are right off the highway making it unsafe for animals. There is a trailer that stays on the property and it made it look like a dump. Very messy and was not a place we felt comfortable staying. There is no bathroom facilities which is fine but no creek or anything to bathe in. Just overall, owner needs to clean up and make it look more presentable.

Great spot for easy overnight or long term stay. Melissa was extremely gracious and communicative. I mentioned fishing in passing to her via text and she immediately responded with multiple gps pins of great spots on the river. Didn’t have to take the time to do that, but she did. All the stars.

Melissa has such a gem of a little camp! We’ve stayed a few times now and I would 100% recommend her place to anyone looking to stay in the area! Of course the hot tub and shared patio was amazing as well!

Melissa is a gem. Very accommodating, knowledgeable about everything in the area. Power and water were top notch, sewer dump was convenient , very quiet area. It was 95-100F when I was there and there is no shade in RV park. She has quite the vision for her 10 acres. I will stay there again when I’m in the area.

The Ridge Ranch was absolutely fantastic! I will definitely be back, and plan on staying here whenever I am in the area. The location is so convenient to all of the rivers, not to mention that, Melissa, the owner, has a kayak business, and will take you anywhere! The hot tub was glorious, and the view over the ridge was breathtaking. Melissa is a total rockstar. She did everything in her power to make me extremely happy during my stay not to mention, I gained a friend for life!

Such a refreshing spot to take a break from driving across country. Melissa was super helpful upon my arrival directing me towards all the amenities. This spot has been saved for my trip back to the east coast.

Melissa is very thoughtful and made every effort to communicate with us to insure that everything was perfect. We very much enjoyed the hot tub, it was new and in perfect condition. We enjoyed the sunsets from 1 of the 4 sites with water and electric. This site is perfect for a group that wants to camp together and she also has 2 small cabins available, if we ever get back we will stay again🙂

Very enthusiastic and welcoming host. We were only RVers there during our stay so Melissa let us park however we wanted. Wish we could have spent some time in the hot tub but it was very very hot outside during our visit. Lots of room to turn around, easy access to the site. Great camp. Thanks for the stay.

Melissa is working very hard on the place to make sure her guests enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. 4 RV campsites and 2 cabins so far, with a gorgeous view of the sunset over the woods. The hot tub has a perfect view of the sunset and a community campfire just down the hill a bit. It was a very relaxing stay and the host obviously cares, everything else was icing on the cake. I’ll be back!

Melissa was the ideal host! She made us feel very welcomed. The location is near the rivers, she offers kayak rentals and shuttles. She gave us all the do’s and don’ts of the River. We can’t wait to go back in the fall!

The Ridge is a perfect spot for those not wanting to go to a large, overcrowded campground. Melissa has done a hell of a job so far and more improvements are coming. There are 4 sites with water and electric and a dump station on the property. There’s also several acres for tent camping as well as two small cabins for rent. The Ridge is close to tons of horse trails as well as minutes from the Elk River and multiple outfitters if you want to float.

Nice country setting. It’s a new place and the host is still improving the property. The electric and water hookups were all new. There is a road behind the RV area that has a 55mph speed limit so there is some road noise. Everyone was very friendly and Melissa truly cares about her property and your comfort. As for directions, look out for Pleasant View Ln. on the North side of street “K” which is where the RV lot begins. It’s about 30 mins away from Bentonville.
