Shepherd's Field is a Faith based park started in 2006 and was located in a small area that was a Sheep pasture. Since this time we have grown to cover almost 10 acres which includes the "Smallest Wedding Chapel in use in the World". The property is about 50/50 open area and wooded, the wooded area is mainly mature oak and hickory trees. Very secluded area in the woods with many areas to pitch a tent and enjoy the quiet. The main area has two sheltered areas plus mens and womens restrooms with chemical toilets plus a cook shack which is in the process of being set up to cater to all who visit Shepherd's Field. As this is advertised a work in progress you never know what will be added and when. Our goal is community fire pit, full service bath house, camping cabins etc. We are only about 1/2 mile from I-44 half way between Springfield Mo and Joplin MO.

    At Shepard's field you can expect the 5 star experience - Steve will set you up with water, firewood, show you the bathrooms, and see if there's anything else you need. When I got there late Steve turned on a set of lights to help me set up my tent. My site was private, clean and quiet.

    This site was wonderful and Steve was extremely helpful! We were moving with a box truck and he made us a campsite that we could park our truck at and was extremely nice and helpful! The field was also green and beutiful!

    Steve treats his visitors like kings and queens! Not only does he hold the Guinness world record for a the smallest wedding chapel in the world, but he is genuinely one of the kindest hosts we've ever met. He has several marked sites - this functions like a classic campground. Pick your site! Each one has a fire pit and private area. There's plenty of walking trails, a calm pond, and even bathrooms built just for campers. We appreciated our special welcome sign lettered just to us! This shows how much he cares for the experience of the campers.

    I was treated like a queen from the start the property was everything that they promised and Steve went the extra mile to accommodate my needs love the bouncing but bunnies all over the place I did spotted deer very cool this property is very safe secluded and the owner is kind and generous would definitely come back thank you very much
