100 yards off a major interstate!

I hate to leave a bad review but this camp ground is 100 yards off the freeway. The noise is terrible from cars and Semi trucks. This is major interstate so the noise is non stop all night long. It also seems like a bunch of people live there so I would not call it a camp ground. We almost left but we were so tired we stayed. We did actually sleep, but once again it was only because we were so tired. Also the restroom code on the map they had available was wrong. No one at the office so we messaged the host but no reply even though we arrived prior to the check in cutoff.

Not what we expected but met needs

This was our last night camping on a long roadtrip from Chicago to AZ and back, with a large part of the trip back being on Route 66. This site is on the Route! We saw that they had tent and RV sites, and the photos looked like the tent sites were a little more secluded than they were. And it was closer to the highway than we expected—as in right next to the highway. All of that wasn’t ideal, but the site was clean, we had access to a clean showers and flush toilets. The shower was important for our needs ahead of our plans the next morning. The person I spoke to (apologies for forgetting your name) was very nice and accommodating to let us choose our site. We appreciated having the picnic table to sit and do a little stargazing, which was a pleasant surprise. This is good for a pit stop on a trip if you don’t mind the sounds of the highway very near.
