A Historic Property with Deep Roots in American History This very special property has visible links to the Oregon and Santa Fe Trails, the Civil War, and the region’s early coal mining history. A natural spring on the land was once used by the Pony Express, as well as travelers on the pioneer trails and even during the Civil War. The property sits on what were once the banks of the Missouri River, perched on a bluff that offers incredible sunsets and wide-open night skies. Today, it’s a small working farm with chickens, goats, and a massive turkey named “Tank” who proudly answers to his name. There’s so much to see here — from rich history and wild open spaces to the nearby river and passing trains.

Easy Spot.

RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 60 ft
This is a great quiet site with a lot of fun quirks. Santa Fe trail site, with civil war history and even a missouri River view. Bald eagles, coyotes, Bobcats and even a possibility of hearing the cryptoid monster locals call the WELLINGTON MONSTER! On more than one occasion there have been unexplained strange howls and even stories of a bipedal creature that resembles the legendary Bigfoot! The property is a small farm with chickens, goats and even a huge turkey named "Tank", who gobbles on command. (Just dont tell him he's a turkey, he thinks he's a dog) The property parallels the Missouri River Valley and Northern Pacific Railroad. You can watch barges on the river and sometimes hear their fog horns when the weather is right. The history doesn't stop there. During the civil war the property was a steamer port and railway stop, and even has 2 coal mines and a natural spring! Its believed the sucessionist troops stayed here before the battle of Lexington in September 1861. Metal detector artifacts of a Bayonetta and show tacks have been found here along side much older native American people's arrowheads. Today tho it's a simple windswept hillside. Home to a couple old dogs (Lugnut and Nukem) a rooster named Doug and lots of wild animals. A perfect spot to relax. Sit by a fire pit or stargaze. At night it gets very dark and you can see landing lights of airplanes flying into Kansas City International which is 60 miles away!

The Cattle Ring Swing

RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 35 ft
Similar to the other sites. Just a different location. Between a livestock barn and a a Shop. Great view. And a pretty cool swing too. Smaller space, a little harder to get larger vehicles into

The Natural Spring

RV/tent site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 25 ft
Similar to the other sites. Just a different location. Down the hill past the goats to the old original part of the property where a collapsed coal mines has a natural spring running out. Great view. But a little more wild. It is also closer to the railroad, so it may be a little loud as a train passes but we think n it's awfully cool! Its a lot more hidden and out of the way. Also harder to get into, especially harder to get larger vehicles into
